Well since getting the Tom's ECU, I've had a look around where the ecu sits & on toyodiy.
Sits within 2 brackets & has an external relay on one side. So the easiest way would be to bring the whole thing out in one go. Did you have to remove any interior trim pieces or can you get away with not removing any? Also remember its an ST202 so RHD, passengers side = L -------------------- |

I was able to remove mine by pulling the carpet down on both sides of the console, then a little wiggle work to maneuver it out.

I emailed the I-Mec/I-Code group awhile ago when you posted yours to learn more about it. I'm sure the reflashed/ plug in ecu's Tom's TECS II, I-Mec, C-One Power ECU, Biltz Access etc do the same stuff replaced daughterboard to allow changes to be made, and is optimised to the owner and mods they have.
QUOTE セリカST202用 アイメック製ECUは、点火、 燃料調整、スピードリミッターカット 3種類が変更してあります。 Thank you for your e-mail. We announce you the contents of the IMEC (change & contents are the same as icode in the name of four years before & company)ECU for Celica ST202. 1) Ignition timing adjustment 2) Fuel increase in quantity. 3) speed limiter cut of 180km. ... not sure if the speed cut is completely removed or just moved up higher like the HKS SLD -------------------- |

1. has the ability to run your engine - vvti
2. Your tuner who knows & is familiar the ecu that will do the maps etc I've heard of people using the Apexi Power FC from the 1ZZ-FE for the beams, as they're both similar to each other. Chances are you'll get a standalone ecu, which will cost a bit, plus wiring/install and then on top of that more dyno/tuner time to set up all the vvti changes -------------------- |

Thanks for the advice Rusty!
Obviously I know that everything would cost ... but the money is not a problem ... the only problem is that here in Italy .... not familiar with the celica ... figured engines Beams: D For this I registered on 6GC, surely you are much more than any enced mechanic here in the area. I've heard that on Beams use the Apexi Power FC |

For my 7AFE ECU it was really easy. Pull the carpet down. Unscrew the 3 bolt, wiggle a bit and pull it out. Ow yeah, first unplug the connectors
But normally it's a really easy (10 min) task. This post has been edited by onnaj: Oct 26, 2013 - 9:29 AM -------------------- |
