He is probably asking if the panel inserts can be removed to do that. A friend of mine changed his interior with leather one and he told me that he had to jam in the cover as the door panel could not be taken off. Hope i am helpfull.

yup im doing mine now too as well...the insert cannot be removed fromt he rest of the panel, which is why it cannot just be wrapped...i am going to cover it with vinyl and then put a piece of black piping along the outer edge to hide any inperfections since it cannot be wrapped behind the insert.

i knew it couldnt be removed and wrapped thats why i was cusious as to how it was done. thanks for actual answers though wink.gif

here is an idea, cut out the vinyl peice cover cover the expose area with bondo sand it, prime it and paint it. What do you guys think???

I am going to buy me a door panel from a junk yard to see it will work. I will post pics as soon as I can. We will see if will look as good as I think it will.
