I've been having a *clunk* noise on the rear, passenger side. Its been there when I had stock springs and still there with Eibach springs. The rear has being inspected by 2 mechanics; my friend who has a shop and the guys at Lextech in SoCal; Nothing was loose and everything seemed fine.
I hear a *clunk* noise when I brake (not all the time) I hear a *clunk, clunk, clunk...* when the car is moving at maybe 5mph and goes away when I start going faster. There's no noise over bumps. Noise is there regardless if I am driving on a ****ty road or not. I regressed the caliper pins, thinking that was my problem. Anyone has tips of what to check or what the Celica is known to be notorious at. 1995 Celica, 106k miles, MT, 5SFE. This post has been edited by 955SFE: Nov 19, 2013 - 1:25 PM -------------------- |

sounds like its a rotational noise.
seems like it would be caliper/rotor/ebrake related -------------------- 1995 GT::::Diffusing the Situation エキサイティングカーレーシングチーム! march 2010 COTM : 6GC feature 2014 : january 2015-2016-2018 COTM |

I'll get the e-brake checked.
Tires have been replaced (all 4). They have so far about 9k miles. They're Kumho 4X Ecsta. -------------------- |

check in your drum if there is corrosion and you can use anti-sieze on the rub spots.

I get some noise like this too, I put some pads n rotors on it but it still does it.
I was thinking maybe if I replace the hardware on the caliper, the little 'anti-abutement clips'. it seems like the pad is just making noise, like its moving around and the little clips that hold it in place are worn out and new slider pins/boots. maybe i'll spend the money on some decent pads for the rear as well. also re-torque your wheels, if you lugs are loose that rotor will move around a little and make some noise too. -------------------- Bust a Deal; Face the Wheel.
