I didn't really care for the movies, but he was a great guy that did a lot of great things for others. It's a shame such a thing happens to good people.

What a shame.
I owned Integras because of this movie. I will also never be able to afford a MK4 Supra as well because of this movie. RIP Paul, I hope I go out like you. |

Its sad that Paul Walker has passed away, however i have no sympathy for him. He was fully capable of preventing the accident. It happened 30 miles away from me, im very familiar with the area and its a miracle that nobody else was injured or killed. The person driving could have easily hit another vehicle and at that speed it would have killed someone else. I say He is damn lucky that they were the only casualties. Now reports are saying that street racing was involved. I wasnt there, so i dont know what really happened. All i know is that Roger was driving WAAAAY to fast for city streets. This should have NEVER happened!

either they were going way too fast or the carrera gt is a very poorly structured car, because the front was wrapped around that tree. I am not very familiar with auto accidents and I have heard all sorts of different reports on how fast they were going (a few saying 45) but I could not see anything less than 50 doing that much damage, correct me if I am wrong

i also heard on the radio that there was suspicion that the steering system failed prior to the accident. not sure if this is true though

I was reading another article yesterday saying how as they were leaving there was a fluid trail, which would've caused the fire. From the pictures you'd think they were going way over 50. Then again there have been other mid-engine cars that just fall apart. There was a Ferrari 458 near me that was wrecked and the sub-frame that holds the engine just fell away from the car. The front of the car was ok, and even the rear of the car looked ok it was just detached. I'm guessing they slid it sideways into a pole or tree, and it just broke apart. It's an occupant safety thing, the car absorbs the damage and falls apart instead of resisting it. So, it may be possible they weren't going that incredibly fast. Though from the pictures I've seen they probably were killed on impact, at least one would hope that was the case, so that'd make you think they were going faster than they should have by a good margin. The only way to really know for sure is to take a few Carrera GT's and crash test them at various speeds to replicate the damage.

F&F was the initial inspiration for me to work on cars. Well that and Manny, Art, and Jeff
I think I will be doing something else big soon with the celi to honor how much he changed my life, as silly as it sounds I really don't know if I wouldn't just be driving a stock civic without him. -------------------- |

So now there is talk of canceling FF7 before I cause a scare. its just talk. for now its on hold indefinitely I love the series, like many others it is what got me into cars to begin with. but I like the way the 6th one ended (before the scene leading into the 7th with Jason) all sitting around the table as a happy family. It pretty much closed everything up. I would hate for them to rewrite it with Walker dieing in the movie. I think that that would piss quite a few people off and be in bad taste. I'm not sure which scenes were shot already, but according to Universal, Walkers key scene's were to be shot the week following thanksgiving..
