When I had my new wheels mounted back in November, the mechanic at the garage told me that one of my front calipers was seized, and the rotors looked like they needed replacement due to the wear. From what he showed me, it was worn to the point where there was araised lip on the rotors outermost surface due to the center being worn from the pads. Luckily, the pads seemed to have been changed sometime recently.
I know rotors are of big discussion here on the forums, but finding stock rotors is quite hard. Right now, TCB has all rotors available to me, with a grand total of $525 after shipping. This is the cheapest price I could find for stock rotors anywhere. Is this a fair price for my car, or are there better alternatives before I go and drop half a grand on an important part of my vehicle? This post has been edited by Jeebus: Dec 29, 2013 - 2:25 PM |

That is WAY too much to pay for rotors. I personally get my brake components off ebay. I have ordered for both my celica and my supra and have never had a problem either time. First set I ordered for my supra were EBC. Second set... I just recently ordered were PowerSport and they were for my celica.

i agree, that is way too much, what kind of rotors are they? peformance rotors? bevause not even toyota dealerships would charge that much for just rotors thats almost a price of an entire oem brake kit including discs and pads.

I believe Jeebus has an ST205, which is why he's having to look so hard and pay so much for rotors.

Yes, im looking for ST205 sized rotors
315mm overall 32mm for the front 16mm for the rear 55mm (I believe) in depth The rotora that Im finding are always a few mm off from spec, and im not sure whether I want to risk ordering something Im not too sure whether it'll fit or not, considering it's for my braking abilities. |

a few mm's off of which specs of the rotors? a couple mm's difference for a few specs wont harm anything

I will sell u mine, but im not really sure if i will need them or not, because im looking at options to mount my own gt4 brakes... oh and you are in canada, and the customs and declarations is a pain in the ass, you might as well have an address in tacoma washington. -------------------- Learned a lot in 10 years...
