Anyone here using a Gizzmo thermal gasket on their 3S-GE/GTE engines
I know a few NZer's are running them QUOTE The Gizzmo Thermal Gasket is a thick *Phenolic inlet manifold gasket that acts as a barrier stopping heat transferring from the engine block through into the inlet manifold. Stopping this heat transfer results in a cooler inlet charge temperature and in doing so increases engine power in much the same way an intercooler does, except this is able to benefit a turbo and non-turbo setup.
*Phenolic sheet is a hard, dense material made by applying heat and pressure to layers of paper or glass cloth impregnated with synthetic resin. These layers of laminations are usually of cellulose paper, cotton fabrics, synthetic yarn fabrics, glass fabrics or unwoven fabrics. When heat and pressure are applied to the layers, a chemical reaction (polymerization) transforms the layers into a high-pressure thermosetting industrial laminated plastic. -------------------- |

Air moves through the intake manifold so fast that the heat gain is very minimal, any gains are likely due to the change in runner length and volume caused by the spacer.
