Ok, I need these to measurements.
And if you can, how thick are the bolts that hold the plastic mesh piece. Inches, millimeters, doesn't matter, just be precise. Thank you. -------------------- |

10mm bolts. Are you sure? Those be some thick bolts just for a plastic mesh. What about the distance? -------------------- |

Didnt get to take measurements as I was in a rush to get out for work. 10mm bolts for sure, as I installed a rain deflector bought from 6gc last year and I lost a bolt in my engine bay dring the process. I'll see whether I can get some measurements tonight when I get home.

Depends which size you are looking for? The mesh has captive bolts attached to it.
Athough 10mm is the spanner size to remove the nuts securing it in place, this is not the sizing of them, they are I think M6 nuts although knowing Toyota they are probably a metric fine...I finish work early today, I will measure them for you after lunch and report back. Do you want the size of the nut, or the size of the captive bolt? This post has been edited by Nial: Feb 14, 2014 - 1:22 AM -------------------- |

Here you go!
6 bolts: 3 on the top, 3 on the bottom. The bolts are part of the grill itself. Measurements of the bolts: Measurement of the nut (10mm socket to remove it) Measurement of the distances from bolt to bolt Short side (Top side when looking down at the grill) 0", 5.5", 11" Longer Side (Bottom side when looking down at the grill) 0", 7", 14" I apologize, I realized as I was posting this that I should have used the metric side of the measuring tape since the measurements for everything in the car is metric. Do you want the size of the nut, or the size of the captive bolt? I want to know how thick it is, so I could figure out the radius of the holes they can go through. I'll be making a hood rain guard. Looking at Jeebus's picture the bolt is 5-6mm That's what I need. Jeebus, thank you so much for taking the pictures and measurement. -------------------- |
