Alright, so i have no clue about what clutch is decent or not, mine is slipping so its time for a new one since my clutch master cylinder is new, so thats not why its slipping, im going to have the OEM flywheel resurfaced. But now for the clutch kit... when i go to ebay to find one all i see is brands like FX, ECM, PPC, Kuup and XTR, are any of these decent brands?
Im looking at getting a stage 2 one as i make more power than a 5sfe. just dont know which to pick. Any help?

Thanks Chris.

im not sure what clutch the BEAMS uess, im guessing its the same as the GT? i have not heard of a single company you listed however if you want a clutch that is going to last get a southbend!

dxdracingclutches.com call them and talk to john or andy in the import dept. count the number of splines on your transmission input shaft. that will tell them how to build the disk. the pressure plate is either a 3S-GTE or 5S-FE. i dont know

On my beams I just used a oem toyota 5sfe clutch for a 98 celica. I havent had trouble with it. Clutches are made to hold torque not hp btw, thats why there is no reason to go beyond stock unless your boosted.

Not to scare you or anything, but once upon a time I tried an F1 clutch from ebay..... It had a very annoying engagement point and I remember I took it out and put in an oem one instead.

Have you looked at clutchcity? Exedy is a pretty good oem replacement maker, the pressure plate determines the feel, F1 just had shady looking springs on theirs and it didn't like their F1 chromoly flywheel either. When I was going to change out the F1 clutch I went and read a lot of mix reviews on it, some people liked it some didn't. I personally didn't, It was the first time I tried a ebay seller's clutch. So its really a gamble o whether or not you'll like it.

F1 = Terrible clutch.

I have their flywheels, I like them a lot.

I have an OEM Beams disk and OEM st185 flywheel.

TRD disc and cover with a Jun lightweight flywheel on mine. Great feel and bite. If you wanted to, you could go for the ultra light version Jun do.

Sorry Bonzai, I was on my phone and hadn't opened your sticky when I posted that - just opened it and I am thinking of a different thread. Good work (y)
