Can someone with a 95 2.2 engine please post a picture of the antifreeze inlet for reference? Where the antifreeze comes into the motor right in front on the distributor cap. I had to change my motor with a older toyota motor and I am not sure if the inlot piece is the same, had to turn in my old motor as a core so I have nothing to refence it by.
Thanks. -------------------- ![]() |

Mine does... It's an EGR VSV. Basically it assists in the warmup phase by keeping the EGR open to allow the engine to warm up faster. Coolant temp the. Shuts the valve once it's up to temp.

There is a vac diagram in your engine bay that will show exactly where it goes.

Mine does... It's an EGR VSV. Basically it assists in the warmup phase by keeping the EGR open to allow the engine to warm up faster. Coolant temp the. Shuts the valve once it's up to temp. that has NOTHING to do with the EGR. that is a temp check valve. then the engine gets warm enough it allows the intake manifold to suck vapors though the charcoal from the gas tank. -------------------- 2001 Celica GT-S Turbo

I'm pretty sure mine goes to the EGR. Maybe I'm mistaken, but I replaced the hoses on it not too long ago and could have sworn it was that. It could have been the two to the top of the throttle body though.

Funny, I've been considering replacing it in my 94 for around 3 years, as one of the inlets on the valve is broken off, so I've only got one of the two hoses hooked up, when I get the 99 I popped the hood and was looking around, and it doesn't use the same setup.
So, I've got one of each, one with and one without, always figured I would replace it when I got around to finding one at the pull-n-save. |

My original one broke when I was taking out my distributor. It was brittle and I bumped it lol.
