Hi, i have imported an rhd st205 from japan to put in my lhd st205. Is there any differences that can interfere with this swap?

They're the same thing........ what happened to yours?
Only difference is the ECU in which the JDM spec one has a slightly more aggressive tune to put out a little bit more power. You should be able to get away with using your harness on the JDM engine though. |

A bolt came loose from the waterpump, and went in to the timing belt. The result was fatal for the motor.
My mechanic says that it will cost more than he first quoted, because of differences he didnt first take into consideration. I think it sounds strange, since i got the impression that the JDM is plug and play. It will probably be around 1000$ more than anticipated for the work, thats over 10 hours extra. His reasons for this is: - My motor had a motor-warmer which was in the way, and had to be removed. - The JDM didnt have an egr valve. - The JDM didnt have an ABS-sensor. My abs-sensor was ruined when he tried to take it off. - Some wires had been spliced into the wiring harness, and had to be removed. This just doesnt sound right.
