I guess it depends on your mileage but I usually do it around 5k (90k) but in general it usually hovers around every 3-6k depending how forgiving u are

it may depend on just how high quality the oil you buy is.
but, what I've learned the hard way from other cars I've had is you should change it often and not wait until it really needs it.
over time gunk will build up and may cause problems like blocking up the sump and just making the motor dirty.

A lot of people like to run expensive synthetic and it goes for 7k miles.
If you're like me and have an old dirty motor that's been abused and has 150k+ miles on it I would buy good quality oil(but I don't run synthetic), with an expensive filter like a Mobile 1 or Bosh,
and then I change it every 3k miles (or less).

the real test is to check your dipstick at least once a week, and change it as soon as the oil looks dark or burnt even if it only has 2k miles on it.
if you keep doing this you'll clean up that old motor.
I also advise against using things like Seafoam IN the crankcase. just because it does a REALY good job of knocking loose all the old crud that's in the corners of the motor and that may cause you
even more problems if you have an old neglected motor.

3-6K for conventional and 10-15K for synthetic dependent on driving conditions and quality of the oil.

I use the Castrol High Mileage Part-Synthetic 5w-30 oil ever since I've owned it. Also changed my oil every 2500-3000 miles. I just like to be extra safe and keep the oil away from building/sludging up in my engine.

3K unless synthetic which I go UP TO 5K. I usually freak out and change it at 3K anyway. This is usualy recomended by the oil company, not the car. Some cars say go higher, but the additives in the oil deplete after a certain time that could cause higher heat, friction, and sludging conditions. Id like to make sure my seals and internal parts wont wear quicker just because I want to save 500$ at the end of my cars life.

CHANGE YOUR OIL, or THINK WITH YOUR DIPSTICK JOHNNY!

I use full synthetic. I change it every 3-4k. I base my oil change on the viscosity break down... If I beat on my car, and I notice the oil is a bit thin/worn out and it's not giving the usual pressure, I change it.

Where do you go about getting an oil pressure gauge setup?
I'd love to get one and install it in one of those clusters that replaces the side molding up the windshield.
Not having an oil pressure gauge to watch kinda bugs me.

There's a how to around here somewhere, it's not too terribly hard to do.

I can see if I have all the info on it... Otherwise I can walk you through it. It's incredibly simple. You're just running a t off of the oil pressure sensor location (if you want to keep the factory light as well) and running brass tube (or wire if you do an electric setup) into the cabin. Then you wire the lights and that's about it.
