I'm in the middle of ordering a new set of wheels form Japan.
Problem is: the wheels with the offset I want only comes in 5x114.3 ![]() I don't want to use adaptors. So I want to know if the hub of the st205 has enough space for the extra 14+ mm diameter that I'm going to need to drill new holes and put new bolts at the desirable pattern. When I look the hub it seems possible, but I don't know if there is the clearance I need at the inside of it ![]() ![]() Anyone here that managed something like that? |

Yes it's possible. I'm one of the several who's done it. Here's the info thread about it.

Search 5x114 conversion. This has been covered for the front hubs.
If you have a gt4 the rear conversion has yet to be figured out but I assume you are likely able to use hubs from the same car as the front conversion |

My guess would try the 1994-2000 rav4 awd rear hubs. Not too sure if it's interchangeable but since the rav4 fwd front hub was interchangeable with the fwd celicas. Then it would a good guess that the awd rav4 might work. -------------------- |

I've looked at the AWD rav4 and highlander hubs as potentials but haven't tried anything yet.

I've looked at the AWD rav4 and highlander hubs as potentials but haven't tried anything yet. 2001-2003 AWD Toyota Highlander or 1999-2003 Lexus RX300 ST185 guys have used them. I have it done.
Rav4 front hub, 1996-1999 (yes 2000 works too but there's an overlap and the later ones use a different number) 1992-2005 Camry rear hubs 1992-2005 Camry rear rotors Options: 1992-2005 Camry v6 front rotors and washers between the rotor and hub or 1992-2005(I believe all the way to 05) Camry 4 cylinder rotors (no washer, less pad contact) Slight modification of pad clips up front when using v6 rotors because they are thicker than stock. Assuming that ST's are the same, brake wise, as a GT/GTS this should work on all of the 6th gens. I have had this done and working for about a year in my 92 GT, my friend completed it on his 90 GTS recently (90-91 cars are trickier) Should also work for 4th gen fwd stuff too |

I believe you need highlander/rx300 rear hubs and rear rotors.
St205 rear stuff is useless afterwards. Fronts may be workable with an LS400 rotor or is300 rotor. |

So after several months of waiting , wheels are finally here
![]() ![]() ![]() I'm thinking of machine-redrill the stock rotors and just change the hubs (if it's possible) So I'm going to need : - front 96-00 RAV4 hubs for the front - rear hubs from an AWD Lexus RX300 for the rear (what year???? ![]() Is that correct? I'm trying to avoid ordering something that won't fit. Just remember the car is AWD ST205. |

after lots of searching and researching I gave up with parts I couldn't find here and were expensive to buy new over the internet.
that's my hubs machined and redrilled. a "ring" of metal added around the hub to make it that bigger so the new 114.3 holes are in the hub then new holes drilled the whole surface was smoothed and painted black existing studs pressed in and ready costed 50 euro for each hub of the fronts Rear one are bigger so just redrilling to 5x114,3 was needed ![]() |

How did they add that ring there? I'd be kind of concerned about the durability of that..

this machine shop is doing conversions like this everyday. Literally.
I saw 2 more sets like mine converted as they was making mine and I talked to an vw golf owner that converted to 5x130 porsche PCD several years before. I also saw some unusual brake conversions, turbo upgrades, custom control arms and many other fabrications. They also made a 1uz to mitsubishi pajero conversion. I am more than sure about this. |

can you take pic of the back, from the front it seems like its not welded at all... like that ring will snap one day
