What's the normal idle for our celicas
My dad says it's normal but I'm idling a little bit above 1 rpm

800 for the 7A, so I'd imagine 750 or so for the 5S. 1K is normal if the A/C is on.

I think it says on one of the labels on the hood, I could be mistaken though.

Mine sits at 900rpm as well (5S, MT). I'm guessing AT sits at 750rpm?

I always thought 900 was a bit high; I'm used to it now.

Usually it's the auto that idles higher. As long as it isn't excessively high or low I wouldn't worry about it too much.

1992-1999

7AFE - 750 rpms

5SFE - US - 700-750 rpms
- Canadian - 750-800 rpms

Taken from a Haynes Manual. Doesn't say whether its MTM or ATM, or if it matters.

There is an idle adjustment screw but i wouldn't suggest messing with it.

My 5sfe MT idles at 900. Both my dads 92 and 99 5sfe Camry AT idles at 750ish.
