Did air fuel reset put wrong fuse back in. Hazard 10 amp into 15amp ecu and vice versa. I dont know if that did anything but after all said and done idle is at 2k.
Fully adjust tps no effect tps except stronger idle.
Recleaning iac and throttle body
Checked for vaccum leaks
Im lost now.
Map sensor plug is stuck screw driver and pliers did not nudge it.
Help anyone
Fired ecu? Or hadzard? What ever that is

you may just need to adjust the IAC.
you can 'turn' it slightly before you tighten the screws down, just watch the position of the throttle cable as you adjust it. also it's kind of a pain to get the IAC in just the right spot, if the little thingys on the IAC aren't in place against the little thingys on the throttle plate it won't work right.
if you did it right you should be able to open the throttle plate with your hand, and it should spring all the way back to closed without you having to touch it.

and Hazard is just the Flashing blinker button (red triangle on dash) that you use when your stuck on the side of the road or something.
putting the wrong fuse in something won't necessarily hurt anything unless you overload a circuit when it has too big of a fuse on it.

Swapping fuses didn't do anything. More than likely the IACV is leaking around the gasket surface if it wasn't replaced.

Well i kinda stripped the screws out and could not get my iac out so i kinda washed it in the sink with the throttle body (took out all electrics ) then just sprayed all inside with throttle body cleaner.

You lost me

If this means any thing. When i pull the hose off that connects from the throttle to the top of throttle body the cars idle does not change. Its the same one special edy made a video on youtube i saw a while back. I also tried the adjustment screw but to no avail. Spent the whole sunday trying to get her somewot perfect

If the throttle body came off there are two gaskets there that'd need replacing.

Mine only had one with it. The one that isbbetween throttle body and idk what the tech word is but 2200 "box"

Ah it's the GT, for some reason I was thinking it was the 7A that does have two throttle body gaskets. On the 7A there's a bracket that sits between the intake and throttle body, so it has two gaskets. Still, if it wasn't replaced it's a possible source of a vacuum leak. Before that though I'd tap out the stripped screws on the IACV so it can be cleaned properly, can find replacement bolts at the hardware store that'll work.

if you took off the TPS (throttle position sensor) it needs to be calibrated. thats why the idle is messed up


and the 2200 box is called an intake manifold

Yep, there's a particular way the spring goes back and then setting it to the proper resistance. There's information online somewhere.

Drove her to work today. Noticed she ate up some gas. At half a tank about 50 miles a little over a quarter left. On the way home tonight i pulled a code 25. Ill check and see what it is tomorrow. frown.gif

25 is air fuel ratio lean.

Thanks box after scouring engine bay for leaks i noticed o2 sensor in exhaust manifold the wire was split in half and no even connected. Put a butt connector on her started her up idles even higher now at 3k even with tps set...
I am going to asume that the o2 sensor is bad causing high idle and code 25.
Want a confirmation before i go to junk yard. Camry o2 should work right?

O2 sensor will throw the code, but has nothing to do with idle. Yep, Camry/Solara uses the same engine.
