Can you wire neons to turn on when your door opens? i thought that would be a neat idea. how to do this? ty

yep it can be done, and have fun wiring it. Just wire in a relay into the (-) off the door trigger, and waa-la. but if you want to run your neons without having the door open your gonna have to run a wire with a switch from 87 to 30. personly i would reccomend just a switch so less chance of leaving them on, and dont go with punk'd out "Neons" get some cold cathodes alot brighter and long shelf life.

i'm tempted to put some 12" blue cold cathode tubes in my door pockets.. they say they're 12v already so could i just wire them up in the same way ?
