Ok my car started stalling two days ago. I have no idea what could be wrong. I get obd1 code 12,13,24. The car felt like it was missfiring sort of when in idle. Rpm at 800 but constantly dropping to 750 for seconds. Then two days ago it stalled after taking off from a stop sign.. took an hour to finally turn on lucky my home was 2 minutes away. I got home turn it on let it run within 30 minutes stalled again without any hesitation. next day it did it again any suggestions. Distributor is only 4-5 months.. faulty distributor ? I had the same issue before the distributor sort of solved but only had code 12.

Check distributor and timing. Then go for spark plug wires and crank pos sensor. Start there

Ok so like I turn it on again second time with the new wires idle stop moving around stayed at 800k car did not feel like it was misfiring. Did not stalled hope is because of the wires. Honestly I don't know how old the other set were. Update again if it stalls tomorrow.

Well I am back my car hasn't stalled yet had it on for about 40 minutes drove it around the block . Soo can spark plug wires make a car stall if they are really old. I just don't want to risk taking it to work and the Celica leaving me stranded. The rpm levelled out compared to what it was it don't feel rough no more .

yes if the wires are very old they can make it barely run at all. you probably need new plugs and distributor cap and rotor as well. all these pieces effect how well the spark goes to the cylinders. if the dist is brand new it should already have a new and rotor in it, but I guess that depends on who you took it to...
