Well you gotta get a new dash for starters, then you gotta swap the steering column over to the right and that means switching all the parts connected and making sure its all clear to do, which means drilling into the firewall and moving parts. Probably have to extend wiring harnesses for the cluster and fusebox...

It probably wouldnt cost all that much if you can find the parts and deal with the nightmare that it probalby entails.

hey,
i am still undecided on what i am doing with my GT4 but i may have 100% complete conv available if i do LHD conv..

it would include

dash (no pass airbag cut out as it is pre 97 gt4)
dash support
all parts with dash that are rhd specific
carpet
firewall (taking out by cuting out spot welds)
wiper set up
trunk/gas release and cables to back for RHD
and what ever else you need to convert

again i am just thinking about it so nothing is firm right now

d-

ohhh oops i meant converting to LHD haha thatll be weird converting to RHD

ohh btw 95wrc , i heard that the gt4 uses different gas, higher octane than the regular us gas. so itll be very impractical. i dunno how you gonna drive it with lower octane gas 'cause i heard itll make noises using the gasses here in the states. unless u mod it or sumthing. any ideas on this??

that guy is stil tryin to sell his gt4 on ebay. its lower price now but that really got me wondering if conversions are really possible since he cant sell his gt4 and he didnt legalize it either.

There was a previous topic on this. The gasoline ratings from Japan are a bit different. The numbers might be higher, once they are converted to octane..it should be the same. I dont know the terminology but ill try and find you a link.
