Alright. ..so for whatever reason my pass door refuses to open. Ive pried back door card and tried to manually actuate the rods. No luck, ive jumped the switch, no dice. Hell, I even tried to pry the door open by slamming a screwdriver into the lock mechanism. Nothing. Consulted bgb...seems like the motor has seized. Only way to t/s involved access to plugs I can only get to with door open (figures). Anyhow...anyone have any ideas on how to open the door before I chop it in half?

So the door handle wont open? Looks like the lock mechanism is seized. The motor or popper wont open it. Either that or the cylinder lock is now damaged. If you dont cara about the door card, then just disconnect the rod from the cylinder to the latch from inside the door. Or apply pb blaster to loosen up things... To try to get the latch, unlocked

I may have a spare 6 speaker door card, cant remember which side though. If your willing to wait a few days I'll just give it to you. If it is the passengerside then you can just hack away at the one in there.

You may also be able to cut into the door handle rather than the door itself. It would be a lot cheaper to replace.

I too have a door that is stuck in the closed position on my son's car. The door handle moves normally, but the handle doesn't unlock the lock when you pull it. The power lock cycles in the drivers door when you hit the button, but not in the passengers door. I have tried the slim jim method and soaking in WD40, but I got nothing. Short of cutting the door in half, or taking the panels off the side in the rear and grinding the post bolts off, I have no idea as to how to open the door. Our youngest son has been "Dukes of Hazard"ing his way in for the last week. Anybody with any ideas please put them out there.

Dont. Just acces the lock from inside. Hacking the door you still have to deal witn the lock

So ive been working on the issue today. Using my good door as an example. There is a small tab that if could get to, I can depress it and open the door. Problem is with door closed there is no good straight on access to it. Maybe ill drill some holes for access and try that out?

Doors should be the same across all models.
