I did all the work myself. The TV cam with a bracket but it didnt last long so I went to the hardware store and got a L shape bracket and made my own. Even put it behind the rear view mirror so I didnt have to drill new holes!
For the PS2 I had to go to autozone which is the cheapest or Advanced and got a 400 Watt power invertor to plug the PS2 up too for power. For the video I have it hook to a modulator box but the sound can either go through the tv but thats not loud. So i used the FM thing liek you tune your radio to 92.1 for eample and it goes through the station. -------------------- 99 Toyota Tacoma

OK Here is some pics of my car and all. Please dont pay attention to how dirty it is. I been meanign to take some pics for the site but I cant get it clean enough lol.
This is my trunk. The whole floor is part of the bo making it really heavy. You can see the PS2 on the right. Here is a close up of how I have my PS2 mounted temp. I want to build a box that will go under my seat since you have to reset the PS2 everytiem you start the car. Its not liek teh PS1. Here is one of my interior.....I told you it was dirty LOL LOL. Well you can see the TV at the top. I have it mounted at an angle since my girl likes to lay the seat down all the way during long trips and she watches movies. -------------------- 99 Toyota Tacoma

I've got two Image Dynamics ID10 subs that handle 150 watts rms a piece, and they're powered by a JBL 300.1 sub amp. I also have a lot of sound deadener, and I plan to order some Infinity 652i speakers for the front doors very soon.
By the way, your interior is sweet Jason! Keep up the good work! -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...

QUOTE Here is a close up of how I have my PS2 mounted temp. I want to build a box that will go under my seat since you have to reset the PS2 everytiem you start the car. Its not liek teh PS1. Check to make sure how you have your power inverter plugged in. Usally they connect by the cigarrete lighter.. If it does turn off the car and plug in your cig lighter. If it dosen't work then your going to need to rewire the plug to a constant power line or mem line. Doing this will make it to where you don't have to reset your PS2 every time.. My 94 had to be rewired but not all the celicas will need it. If your cig lighter works with the car off the you need a new converter that will not shut down when there is a power drop..such as turning the car off. Also I haven't had any probs with the battery discarging but that doesn't mean that it can't happen so put some jumpers in your car if you do this. -------------------- 99 project version 3.0.. hello SEMA 2010 =) |

i'm currently working on my audio system:
it all works but i'm doing a nice buildup(is this the word?) in my trunk with plexiglass and neons HU: Sony CDX M700R blackpanel AMP1: Phoenix Gold Tantrum 600.4 (suppling my subs with 656w RMS) with endcaps, and lpl44 (i'll be kicking out the sigarete lighter in my dash and putting the lpl44 over there) SUBS: 2* Helix HXS 1206MKII DVC 300W*2 (rms) CONDO: Helix DPC1000 AMP2: Caliber Performance 80.4 (idunno exactly how much this one gives... it says 4*80watts but it'll drop to 30 or something like that when we're talking RMS values) Speakers: Sony Xplod fs6930 ... but last weekend one of these XPLODED!!! conclusion sony sucks for car audio, only good stuff they have are the blackpanel head units Currently i don't use the caliber amp, nor the sony speakers cuz there toasted... so i have the subs on and my standaard speakers in the doors i'm still in school but i'm doing a stage(i work for 3 months as a test) i still have to do 4 weeks and then i have a 3 week holiday and i'll fix up the trunk and i should have the money for a new composet: Helix HXS 236G (or maybe even Helix HXS 636 avantgarde... depends on what santa claus will bring this year ) then i still have one problem: little short on power... my amp (tantrum) supplies me with 656RMS watts but the subs can take 1200... so i'll be getting the tantrum 1200.1 as soon as i have the money... then i'll kick out the caliber amp and put the compo on the 600.4 and then this will be the sweetest sq install oh yeah the trunk is entirly worked with damping matts, something unknow looks like dynamat but thicker and cheaper (love it) and i worked the doors with some sort of foam (the plastic of the door rattled so i placed some foam (the stuff my tv was wrapped in on delivery) where the doorpanel rests on the metal of the door and now there's no more rattling that's about it... oh yeah i still have to decide wich color neons will come red or blue the car is red, but blue is nice too... i'm also getting some cooling fans, i'll be getting some case mod fans for pc's with red/blue leds in em to match the neons but like i said i still got a lot of work to do... if only i had a little more time... |
