Hi, Im kinda new here. I've been working with a friend who acquired a 1994 celica but it needs ALOT of work. It has no backseats, no carpet, driver seat is broken, couple dents, couple missing panels, no intake, low oil pressure, bad back brakes(is it possible to convert drum brakes to disc brakes without custom fab?) and thats only what I am aware of. I got a couple questions though.
1. The cause of alot of the interior problems is the old owner had some dreams for the celica and dreams+pot-money!= quality. One of the problems with fixing it is I don't have alot of the screws. Does anyone make a kit with all or most of the screws and bolts for the interior? Or atleast does anyone know the sizes of the screws?
2. It has a really cool paint job but it was acturally done by mistake(one of the oops when your high jobs, damn pot heads). It used to be a blueish teal color and he tried to put in swirls and ended up with a very wierd but cool color. When we fix the dents is there anyway to fix the paintjob? I don't have any of the paint.
3. What is the best intake out there? How much should I look to spend on a intake?
4.One last quuestion. There is ALOT of cleaning which needs to be done. Everything from stains to mold and mildew. What is the best interior, exterior and engine bay cleaners? I know no one product does all three but I want to know what the bets for each is.

Thanks for your help. Im a beginner in celica's but have SOME experience on cars.

Ack! Sounds like a lot of work.

With the mention of drums, I am assuming it is an ST and not a GT. I am not certain, but I am pretty sure you can get the parts you need off of a GT and swap. Check the Suspension/Braking forum, there are numerous threads on this very issue.

LMAO

I am going to plead the fifth here and claim to know not of which you speak. biggrin.gif Looks like you code, though.

I don't know of a kit offhand, and it will likely be a nightmare if you try to get all those one by one from Toyota. I would recommend headed to a local junkyard and get the bits you need from there.

For the ST, I have heard good things about the Dr. CAI. You can find out a bit more about it Here

I like Simple Green for most things, engine bay-wise, anyway. Once you get the piant all nice, I am a big Zaino fan... Best product out there for a killer shine. Interior... ummm, pick something, and then piggy-back it with lots of Fabreeze biggrin.gif

Good Luck

thanks for the welcome. Yeah its alot of work. Definitly a project car. But he only spent 100 on the car and already put 200 in it(mostly on stupid ****).

yeah I code. I code ALOT. I admit it, I am a GEEK!*lightning flashes* Once Im done with my current project Im thinking of doing something car related, not quite sure what though. Im looking for something different, not just your normal racing game. IF you have any ideas I'll be welcome to them.

Also I didn't say I did pot. I just said the people who had the car before(and live in my house) are druggies.

I know there are screw kits if your redoing a car, but those are mostly for classics, I was hoping Id get
lucky and someone made a kit for G6Cs.

I will definitly look into the Dr.CAI thing. ALthough we haven't decided on doing it for high torque or high max horsepower. If we do torque I'll want a WAI but if we decide for horsepower I'll reserach Dr.CAI.

Simple Green sounds good. And there is no need for Frebreeze, all seets are being replaced and there is no carpet in it so basically there is no fabric in the car to smelll musty.

Also for a quick laugh, we were taking out the glove box(making it into a switch panel for our random electronics) and 2 dime bags fall out. Now I have to decided smoke, sell, or give back...decisions decisions....
