There are 2 wires that come off of the under side of the ignitor and through the fire wall. The red one goes into the security box under the drivers seat.
Now onto the question I'm transplanting the motor and Trans out of a 97 OBD2 car and putting them into an 95 OBD1 car. I am trying to take the OBD2 with motor. The receiving car is not equipped with the security system. I need to know why the purpose of the red wire is. Is it a power wire? It goes into the medium sized socket that has eight 8 or 10 wires. It goes into the top middle plug Any help or advice other than stay with the OBD1 would be greatly appreciated -------------------- 97 Celica GT liftback DD/ project
