Some of my plugs from my engine harness are gone I've gone to the junkyard and can't find any celicas just camrys so I was wondering if they use the same wire harness?? If any one can help let me know I have a 94 celica g.t the Camry uses the same parts so the plugs fit, But the colors of the wires for the circuits are NOT the same as the circuit colors used in the Celica. so you can use those plugs just be careful when you wire them up. The wires to the dizzy for the Celica are NE+ yellow(plug A pin4), NE- blue(plugA pin5), G- Black(plug A pin17), G+ red(plug A pin18). Those wires run Straight from the ECU plug to the plug at the dizzy signal coils there are no connections or splices inbetween. Therefore: if you can use your ohmmeter at the ecu plug(with it unplugged) and read the 220 ohms from G- to G+, and read 440 ohms from NE- to NE+, then You know your connection is good. on the Dizzy from bottom to top the plug goes G+,G-,NE-,NE+. They say most of the time the problem is in the connecter and not in the wire inbetween(unless you damaged the wires when you replace the motor). also the wires for IGT(white plug A pin 20), and IGF (black/yellow plug A pin 3) go straight from the ecu to the igniter I tested these wires by poking a wire into the plug at the igniter and clipping it to ground then testing at the ecu plug for continuity to the chassis. like I did here http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=93428 also the kind of probes im using on this multimeter are kindof big to back probe the ecu plug so I found it good to attach my clips and use some 18ga thermostat wire to reach in there or maybe some sewing needles. The plugs may be the same but the harness itself is different. You can't use the complete Camry harness but odds are the plugs are similar.
