I was wondering if anyone with a multimeter and a 1994 ST Hatchback with a stock dome light circuit (or you can remove any additions you made to it and that would be very helpful) could test to see their current draw when all lights are off and doors are closed. Also if you don't have a 1994 or you have a GT, i would appreciate knowing the current draw of your dome light circuit as well!

Testing a circuit for its draw is pretty self explanatory but there are two ways to do it:
you can test it by putting the multimeter in series with the negative terminal of the battery and the negative lead and taking note of the total current draw, then pulling out the 10A mini fuse for the dome light and taking note of the draw again without the dome light circuit. Then subtract the second draw from the total and you'll have the dome light circuit draw.

The other way to test it is by taking the 10A mini fuse and then putting your leads into where the fuse was pulled from (NOTE: you can short the battery this way, but if all doors and lights are off and closed, it really won't be a problem. OR you can take a blown fuse (Im weird and keep all my blown fuses for some reason...) and touch the metal contacts on the sides of the "10A" marking with the leads of the multimeter

There should be no draw when the lights are off.

Isnt the clock on this circuit? If so then a few milliamps should be expected

alright so I'm having an issue with my dome light circuit... (I'm fairly sure)

So when measuring the current draw with a multimeter set to the 10A setting i receive a draw of 0.02
This is 200ish mA correct?

I only ask because when i switch to the 200mA setting i receive a draw of 20.5
and this is 20.5mA correct...? with the dome light fuse out i get 4.5mA on this setting which i believe is reasonable
i honestly believe around 20mA is reasonable as well but I'm not sure if its 200mA or 20mA

The only thing i change is the setting on my multimeter and where the multimeter leads plugs into on the multimeter.
