Mapp can get hot enough to braze, especially if it's light metal and you have one of those whistling turbo torches. Those things get HOT.

no, unfortunately, not... you see, the highlander being a 5 plug, has some signals going to juction boxes, and going to a specific signal in the ecu. In the rav 4 each individual signal goes to a specific point in the ECU. Maybe like 2 or 3 systems are like this. If i recall the heated 02 sensors, and the ignition coils, lol..... So i really have to open up all the harness.....

it sure has given me a lot of headaches. But if you take the time and accept it for what it is, no more than a road map

and yes those boxes are a blast from the past.

I can't say I envy you. Mr220v's prices seem more than fair to me since I don't even wanna look at the diagrams.

And yes, however this is not a simple thing. Because, at best the engine needs at least 2 extra relays, that i need to find a place for them. And i need to understand the way the wiring would be, in case I need to troubleshoot. Hence my wiring diagram Plus and I tried to contact mr220v, never got a response, dont blame him, hes very busy. So i figured i wanted to learn.

Im still making changes to the diagram....

There's some awesome weather proof relays on eBay with weather tight pigtail connectors that you can put literally anywhere without a special box.

Just search water proof relay on ebay or amazon and you'll find plenty.

Worst part about wiring a car, is that you need to get the harnes for the ecu your going to use, lol changing from highlander to rav is not fun.....

tought about it, it was 6000 on copart.com. I dont have a dealer license, and its a waste of money. i spent 2600 on a complete engine plus accessories plus 500 in incidentals. 3100 vs 6000 a lot of difference. plus i dont have time to part out a camry, and a yard will not pay 2900 for it, without the engine. Its a tough decision....

ok, im ready to start the real wiring process..

If you know how to read a map, you know how to read wiring diagram.

Its easy, the books are self explanatory. I was afraid all the time, because i never tought I could. Sure you can pay 500 to have someone do it.

The 3sgte harness is a cookie compared to this monster there are 126+ wires going to the ECU. LOL But then when it comes troubleshooting time, if you dont know how it was made, then you are screwed.

There is no halfassing it, i know where every solder goes, Im planning on adding a new fuse box, to accomodate new relays.

Minor changes to the body wiring of the celica, but i would not be able to accomodate for all that if i have someone else do it... Plus i have trust issues....

Microsoft Paint is a Reals sport to play with wiring diagrams.....
