Hi I have a 1997 st202 celica, as im driving down the road it feels as if the rear axel is loose or wabbling around. I have no idea what could be the problem and I am just wondering if anyone knows what could be causing this ?Thanks

ummm, i don't believe your car has a rear axle, but the hub or bearing could be bad.

Silly question, but are the lug nuts tight? It could be as simple as loose lug nuts, low on air pressure, or a very unbalanced/bad tire. Or it could be a bad while bearing like Mike mentioned, possibly even a bent rim.
