Hello people of 6gc,

I recently bought my 95 celica 3 days ago and it came with a Clifford car alarm system.

It was a straight forward alarm that only locks and unlocks, so i'm guessing its a low end kind.

About 2 days ago, the remote would lock and unlock the car but it wouldn't arm the alarm or make the chirping noise.

I think I probably hit the something with my foot while driving since the wiring are right under the pedals.

Now the alarm light is always on even while driving and I tried to inspect under the pedals but am a little lost.

Do i go about resetting something in order to fix this problem?

Look on the clifford website and see which car alarm you have. Then look up a video on how to install it. Check all the connections and also look at the manual on the clifford website. There should be a way to reset it (the valet mode button should be the programming button as well).

Good luck!

Ok, apparently the system was in valet mode the whole time. I guess my foot flipped the switch by accident.

Yeah... whoever installed the alarm system placed the switch in the worst spot. Which is right next to the clutch.
