Relisted the Firebird on Craigslist since I've yet to hear back from anyone... Ended up cutting the description down a fair amount so maybe that'll help. Of course it was only a matter of an hour or two before I had someone calling asking if I wanted to trade for a bike...

Hmm, now where could it be going?
Side note; I've had six people contact me in the last 18 hours, or five if you exclude the motorcycle guy. Had one call and left a voicemail wanting to see it today but I can't get ahold of him. Then one texted and apparently is in the next town over and even said they were really interested. Maybe someone will buy it or at least have a trade I like(and ready to trade *cough* Accord), here's to hoping. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Tomorrow afternoon I may be sans Firebird, taking a hit but if I count what the Miata sold for with it that makes it about even... It's the best cash offer I've gotten and it seems like he really wants it and will give it a good home, so that makes things not easier at all. I'd like to keep it, but realistically with what it'd take to make it where I want it I'm far better off physically and financially selling it at a loss and finding a third or fourth gen. It'd be different if I wanted a classic muscle car as it were back then, but I don't outside of aesthetics. I want good A/C, manual overdrive trans, fuel injection, good suspension and brakes(though the second was good for its time, there's no doubt the third and fourth are better), etc... To do all that to a second gen I'm way past what it'd cost to buy a nice LT1 car just in parts.
More or less I'm trying to talk myself into thinking this is a good idea and the thing to do... Of course I'm not entirely set on a third or fourth gen as I'd like to give the Miata a second chance, and then there are the Z cars, 240SX, RX-7, SC300, and Mustang I'd also like to try along with a few others. I guess what makes it the hardest is just looking around Craigslist and eBay if I wanted to buy another I couldn't for what I selling mine for and if I did they're in way worse shape, that and it'll always be one my "realistic" dream cars. I know it's what I need to do, it just sucks I barely got to enjoy it before the transmission fiasco. Same with the Miata, spent all that time fixing everything up on it only for it to get totaled after doing it all... -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

that's good. you need a car you can drive to point A to point B. Stop wasting your time and money in projects. If you cant work on a car, as much as you want to, don't buy another project. You still have the Miata? that's your project. Now you need a car.
GET another ST celica. It has all you want minus the RWD factor. economy and air. parts are cheap. and they are cheap. Once you get better health wise, then consider another project. So, I dropped by the shop last night to check on progress and the car is ready for paint. The initial plan was to stick with the factory 3L2 Renaissance Red color due to cost and possible resale purpose, but after talking to the shop owner, he turns to me as we're walking around the car, "So, do you want a different shade of red? I hate the factory red. It's an old colour."
I've had a shade of red picked out for a while now, (probably the only shade of red that has caught my attention) but it's kind of special and it's 4 stages of paint: Silver base, Translucent Red Clear, Red Base, Clear Coat and there's some metallic thrown in there somewhere. Hoping to get the green light on it and if it does, I'm super nervous about how it'll look on the car. -------------------- -Alex {](O_o)[}

I sold the Miata back in June or July. Mostly likely I'll probably just get another Miata, it's the one I trust most out of the group with exception to the SC300 and MR2 that're impossible to find. Which that's ok apparently his wife put her foot down so he won't be buying it... Of course it'd be after I found a nice low miles Miata for a good price. I've thought about getting another Celica as well but a GT this time around so that the potential for upgrading is always there, but I haven't seen any Celica outside of the 7th gen for some time now.

Just get something reliable.
Today installed the porsche cabs although they need some tuning and adjusting. Hopefully will get it running well tomorrow. Also changed the oil in the Subaru. -------------------- |

I just talked to my body guy and he called in his PPG supplier for an idea of the paint, and he said that if I went ahead with it, he would be THE FIRST person to shoot that color on another car other than from the factory. He's kind of excited to shoot it. lol This post has been edited by NgoFcukinWay: Jan 8, 2016 - 6:25 PM -------------------- -Alex {](O_o)[}

If he's excited I'm sure he'll give it his best, a win win for you as far as I can tell.

My brother and dad came over and with their help we were able to get the Porsche running properly. It was too late to drive it and the weather sucked, so that'll be saved for another day
