Haha, not yet. DD is the 98 Mazda 626 for a while longer. I'm thinking about a loaded Mazda6 with the 2.5 or whatever engine they're using in the next 5 years when I can afford one. The 2.5 turbo in the new CX-9 looks nice though, 310lbft at 2,000 RPM and it weighs 145lbs less than the outgoing V6.




Not mine obviously, and that's even assuming I don't just get a used box of air or a box of rocks.

welll........was on the look out for another liftback to add to my collection, instead. I purchased a 97 4runner limited, my friends uncles was just gonna junk since he bought a brand new one, so i saved, near mint minus a large dent in the drivers door. But other than that, rust free pretty much, interior is a 6/10, but the body minus the drivers door is 9/10. Now to look up a decent lift kit since i have wheels and tires that i can install. Going to do the basic maintenance on this weekend

They all run and drive!!!! The only 2 down at the moment are my vert, awaiting the 2gr heart. Located a 2008 rav4, was tboned, i get to check it out tomorrow to see what the condition is on everything else. And my 97 liftback just needs the valve cover resealed and tires lol, the other 8 are great

The 4runner has a laundry list of stuff i need to do, and finally joined another forum! so weird. But it will needs a trans cooler, radiator just for my piece of mind so i do not get the strawberry milk mix. (It a actual condition that can happen). Full tune up for the time being.

If I were to ever get into SUVs it'd probably be a 4Runner, but it'd have to be a near nonexistent 5-speed. Then I'd be compelled to lower it and put on street radials completely defying the point.

Bought some grey Plasti Dip last night from Wally World, so tomorrow I can hopefully finish the dash cap for the last time.

I'm feeling nostalgic for some reason. Celica game controls:

W is wipers
< is downshift
> is upshift

up arrow is throttle
left arrow is left
right arrow is right
and down arrow is brake

To get started you need to be pressing the up arrow and upshift to go into first.

Today I wait for my manifold.
Yesterday I took my mom out to eat about 30 minutes away in the Celica, not a complaint except to turn the music down a little. I was surprised because she's always very critical, she didn't even realize I was doing 90 till she looked over after I'd whizzed past a few cars. Kid tested, mother approved!

That was nice of you, doesn't the Celica have some aftermarket suspension and such? I know my brother's Genesis on coil-overs rides nicer than it did stock, and that's with it being considerably lower and on 19's instead of 18's. Maybe one of these days I'll find the $1,800 and change for the new UMI/Sam Strano coil-overs for my car.

Yesterday I helped my brother clay bar and wax his car. Today I'm fighting with the dash cap yet again, apparently all the cracks from last time weren't enough and it cracked in four new places... After this it's never coming out again unless a brand new one is taking its place...

It does, but it's not too harsh. She didn't even mind me drying the brakes from 90-60 (but I did fore warn her and told her to lean back, and eased into and out of them a little bit more than if I had not had a passenger). That or she was just trying to be nice and is off telling her friend she's visiting today 'my son has some kind of race car and drives like a maniac!'.
