I called UPS and filed my damage claim on the manifold box, the TPS is cracked and a screw bent. New Nissan part is $300! I'll get aftermarket though for about $150ish but probably order the screw from a dealer just cause I'm ****ing picky.

I'm illustrating how the air will enter the engine now.

What was it again, 90mm? Almost twice as big as the Firebird's since I think the factory TB is only 48mm. Hopefully can get your claim sorted quickly so it can be installed and all that fun stuff.

yea, 90mm entrance and 85mm outlet maybe. I'm a bit fuzzy, it's huge. I've got some other parts to gather and install first. I wish I could find a way to install a torque damper rather than hard mount inserts. I just can't seem to find a way to do it unless I have a custom AC line made for me but that may not leave enough room for the line to flex if the engine moves around. There's a place we get parts from that does AC lines too so I'll call them up and see if the one guy I know is working saturdays and maybe meet him there and see if he thinks they can make a line that'll work for me for this.

Found a C-one for like $300, found a shop in Malaysia that makes one too but can't find a price, emailed them and hopefully I'll hear back...otherwise I'll have to (shudder) reactivate my facebook and contact them that way. I'd prefer to run a torque damper because it won't give me a harsh idle but will keep the engine from rocking.

A/C>engine movement. tongue.gif Of course I put A/C above a lot of things so what do I know, then again in my defense one of my medications makes me more sensitive to heat than what I already was to begin with.

Hopefully you don't have to resort to reactivating facebook, NO ONE should ever have to be made to go through that.

What kills me are all the kids that remove perfectly functioning A/C to "free up" horsepower. rolleyes.gif

Yep! 'weight reduction'. Uh take the spare tire out "bro" it weighs more than the whole AC system combined. They're also the ones with a sub box in the back, usually not the sharpest marble in the toilet.

This is why I like it here, level headed group of individuals. I can't tell you how many cars I've come across that're just ruined because they thought yanking interior and A/C then throwing it in the trash was a good idea... Speaking of subwoofer boxes though I found one that slips into the niche in the driver side of the cargo space: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_89380_...nd-CF9302C.html

Can only use a lower powered 10" but it's better than using a setup that covers the entire cargo space. Yet another item on my list of to dos. tongue.gif

Looks nicely built too!

I got 2 of three bolts loose for my front mount insert, can't get the nut on the long through bolt by hand with the tools here at home. I'll have to either do it at work on lunch or bring tools home with me. Not sure which way I'll go, I know it'll take like 15 minutes at work to do it but I also know my boss is nosy about all that **** and I don't feel like dealing with his commentary on it. laugh.gif Might pop it loose at work and hand tighten it then do the swap at home. If I had a deep 14 socket here and a long handle ratchet I think I could do it. I might go rifle around and see what I can scare up....

I thought so as well for the money, which I still have the rest of the sound system still to take care of first but it doesn't hurt to go ahead and find what I want to get.

The best tools are the ones you make yourself for one off jobs. I imagine I'll probably end up trying to fabricate something to make changing spark plugs somewhat easier.

double ended dildo, so you can **** yourself while you **** yourself.

A double swivel spark plug socket will help you a lot. As will good gloves.

Pass on the first, will look into the second. laugh.gif I do know I will be commandeering someone's car lift to do it though, forget trying to do that crap in the yard. I've heard that dropping the exhaust at the Y-pipe makes life a lot easier as well, so I'll look into replacement exhaust gaskets so that can be done. I think I've pretty much talked myself into getting iridium plugs just to spare myself from having to do it again anytime soon.

Look into the Denso Twin Tip Iridium plugs, part number starts with IK. Fine iridium tip on the center and a platinum tip on the ground strap, they shroud the spark less and are really going to last 100,000 miles or more without loosing their gap.

Oh **** it, http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk...022&jsn=388 that's what you need. Get those if you don't want to do spark plugs ever again. Denso has been using them under the Super Ignition Plug moniker in Japan for a while now (10+ years) and Toyota (and probably others) have been sticking them in their cars that take the tiny spark plugs. Denso just decided to slap the same stuff on standard sized spark plugs and offer a wider heat range now to cover older vehicles. They run NICE in my Celica, I had some IX Iridium plugs before and in 40K miles the ground strap was gone and the gap doubled. The IX plugs are even stated to be a 30,000 mile plug so I'm not surprised or mad, but for the same price you can get these which have the same fine wire center but will last 3-4x as long. I wish they'd had these when I did plugs the first time!
