True. Tomorrow it's supposed to rain so I can see how water proof the thing is without adding any extra stuff to seal it up.

I can't remember the last time it rained, seriously. Yet somehow Alabama finds a way to be humid as **** in a drought.

That's ok I found some amber LED strips but devising some kind of lense so it looks nice is proving difficult, clear would be meh and it'd seem the prismatic is really easy to break. I would say take two sets of tail lights and see about using the clear jewels for reverse somewhere else in the tail light and then put an amber bulb in but apparently used tail lights for my car are made of gold on eBay so it'd leave finding some in a junkyard to make it halfway affordable. Meh forget it, people know what blinking red means over here most of the time.

Most of those amber strips are invisible in sunlight just FYI.

Also I was misled by sticky and the outside 194 is tail light only though it says brake on sticky, I knew brake light didn't sound right. Anyhow did some more looking and found where a bright enough amber LED behind red will come through as amber: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHFoaBhEV3A
http://oppositelock.kinja.com/switching-to...ulbs-1734860921

So I'd have to get an electronic flasher but I could make the outside 194 a turn signal with the two inside 3057 I remove the turn signal function and leave them as tail/brake lights. I don't think I'd want to them functioning as signals since that'd probably defy the outer amber and be confusing/illegal which also defies the point. I found these LED bulbs off the ones you posted earlier that should be bright enough: https://www.amazon.com/JDM-ASTAR-Extremely-...words=194+amber

That's why I was thinking the prismatic lense since it'd be frosted clear and should also help diffuse the light, that's ok see above thoughts.

I've been meaning to try those but I'm worried they won't fit or have heat problems.

Heat is my one concern and since all their other bulbs have plenty of reviews it'd seem no one gets them probably for the same reason. I know in the tail light they'll fit and maybe being a large, comparably to a sidemarker, open airspace heat won't be a problem. I know from their listing pictures anyway they're a fair bit brighter, I rather them be almost too bright that not bright enough since it's amber going through red and then light tint. That's ok before ordering anything going to have to look at the wiring first to see exactly how they have one bulb doing tail/brake/signal, hopefully there're separate wires all the way back to the bulb and I can make an adapter harness but I honestly can't remember from when I had the lights out last. Thankfully that takes all of like five minutes for both.

Was able to find used harnesses on eBay to save time and trouble and nope the brake and turn signal merge somewhere at the front of the car, should've figured as much since it'd mean extra cost for no good reason with intended purposes in mind. I guess I'll have to route around under the dash, wooo...

Wooo schematics, I love them:

Based on that just leave the light blue brake going to the dark green passenger rear and yellow driver rear removing all turn/hazard signals, then somehow tie the rear outer tails to the turn and hazard circuits. Well it'd seem the only way to do that is to run new wiring from the turn and hazard out to the rear lamps since the only other wiring nearby carrying those signals will be taken out of the circuit.

Got my 2nd LED light bar pod spot thing. It's not the same as the one I already got and it's not the same as advertised. I'm pissed.

Seller offered a $10 refund on a $19 purchase, I think I can take that....

I lit it up with the lens on it and the output isn't even the same shape or anything, it's really weird with lots of artifacts on the sides pretty badly. It draws about 13W though but it doesn't look like the driver circuit can be boosted much, it looks like all pretty wimpy stuff inside and I'm not sure what LED's but they're tiny like XB-D sized.

I found the seller I bought the good one from a year ago and asked if he can shoot me some shots of the actual product I'll get so I can make sure it's the same as I got a year ago. Once I know it is and I have it in hand then I can boost and install and try to get some shots of the epic high beam. I need to perfect the aim though, it's a touch high at long range yet which might be unavoidable due to the low position. Kind of wish the Mazda didn't have a grille....but that needs to stay so the car doesn't look like trash. I guess I could neatly cut it? I don't know.

Well at least they worked with you some, maybe can find another use for it hopefully.

Had the same dilemma on my brother's Maxima, but its grille was big enough and were able to cut out a slat and mount high beam provisions since he had done a HID projector for low beam in lieu of the crappy 9004 or 9007. From looking at pictures you might could remove the middle slat in the grille to make room? That or if possible removing the top slat might look better.

LED panels for dome/cargo and map lights should be here tomorrow since they went through Georgia this morning. They're cheap 44mm rigid loop with twelve 3825 LEDs and is supposed to be a pure white, but they had the best rating I could find so I guess we'll see. I'm thinking for the dome/cargo light if I have room I'll lockwire two together in parallel so then one is facing down into the passenger area then one is facing out to the cargo area. Then the other two go into the mirror you're supposed to remove from the car in order to change the bulbs, so that'll be fun.

Bought a couple Pirelli for the bike and they're going on tomorrow. Very excited as its had a flat and sat for a good few days.

Also, this should be renamed the Bitter and Box discussion thread.

We've mentioned that before.

Pirelli makes some good tires for bikes, Sava aren't terrible if you're on a budget, they're a brand of Goodyear/Dunlop.

We keep the forum alive.

Also turns out the Camaro had export tail lights as well:

Apparently they're easier to find since people actually liked them over here. I WANT MY EURO LIGHTS DAMN IT.

No, they just all got the same lights after 97 I think I read?

I got a full refund on the LED light, that's a surprise. I think they think if they gave me all the money back I wouldn't report them to eBay for having a phony listing. I'll give them a few days to see if they correct it, if they don't I'm going to complain hard core.

I know for sure they were used when earlier cars from '93-96 only had red and white, but I want to say even from '97+ when the U.S. went to this:

Woooo full refund. Probably, wouldn't surprise me if they don't.
