Does anyone feel like they get ripped off when you buy sushi? We make it and sometimes we'll buy it from restaurants and I just feel like I get ripped off. We're vegan, so we don't get fish (we'll usually get asparagus and avocado). We went last night and got $20 worth for two of us, and it barely made a dent in my belly.

I know avocados aren't cheap, but jeeze. Haha!

That's how it is with anything, compare getting a burger at a sit in restaurant to actually making one yourself at home. Even more of a ripoff for what it costs to get like 4-5 chicken fingers from a fast food place you can go to Wal-Mart and get a 2 lb bag. laugh.gif

That's why we make guac at home, that and cause rarely does anyone make it as good as us. The secret is lots of hot peppers finely chopped and a dash or two of garlic powder, red onion too.

Not quite, just jalepeno, habenero, and serrano. Usually 2-3 hot jalepeno, 1-2 serrano, and at least one but sometimes two habenero. it still needs to be edible, just have a good long burn without murdering the ability to taste it. garlic powder adds some savory flavor to the stuff, just a little goes a long way, red onion pops, a little salt helps too but isn't needed if the chips are salted.

You're talking to the person that keeps ghost pepper sauce and powder on hand at all times. laugh.gif I've been wanting to try Carolina Reaper but haven't gotten around to ordering any. I'm not the typical white person, I LOVE spice in my food. Like when Taco Bell came out with the Ghost Pepper stuff I could tell it was way watered down, but they still got rid of it because people said it was too spicy. rolleyes.gif

Finished the eBay listing, just now to list it... Just so apprehensive on selling it because there's this voice in the back of my head that says, "You're an idiot, deal with the solid axle." Then there's another voice that says, "I HATE SOLID AXLES!" So who knows.

This stuff from Trader Joe's isn't super hot, but FULL of flavor. It's so addictive. I'll put it on just about everything.

Will have to check that out. That's one of the reasons I like Tabasco and keep it on hand, not really spicy at all by nice flavour.

Looking into the G35 I'm not sure if there'd be anything better about it over the 350Z outside of the obvious things that come from a bigger car and having a rear seat.

There's an herb and spice store that carries the powder, I got the sauce from some market I went into once. Next time I need more will try this: https://www.amazon.com/Kiva-Gourmet-Smoked-...epper&psc=1

I like dealing with fresh stuff for the gauc, except the garlic powder, being powdered makes it mix evenly. I guess powdered pepper could be OK, but I think fresh would be more hellacious for her to deal with.

My brother says to buy an RX-8 or 350Z and questions getting another Miata since I hated the NA6. Which I think a lot of that was it was just somewhat worn out, that and it was right after getting out of the Celica with similar mileage and a coupe body just ages a lot more gracefully I think. Plus the Celica was just a lot stiffer new I'm oh so sure. In retrospect I'm sure all the problems I had with the NA6 could be solved by either getting a NB2 or a NA8 with the Flyin' Miata butterfly brace in addition to getting a low 100K mile or less example, that and aftermarket sway bars. It just rolled A LOT more than I expected it to, Hell if I'm being honest the Firebird feels better through turns than it did solid axle nonsense aside. I dunno. If I had money falling out of my ass I'd just buy a C5/C6 rear subframe and fabricate it into the back of the Firebird along with a Viper differential and whatever else would be needed to make it work.
