Instead of buying $100+ drapes, we went to Home Depot and got two drop cloths for $11 each. Boom.

Yes, I bought some nice expensive ones a couple years ago and I never liked them that much to begin with ontop of the $100 price tag.

They probably weren't purple, drapes only work out when they're purple. And velvet.

I don't know, nothing I do seems to be helping enough... Massages, stretches, biking, etc... I guess it's just reached a point where I can't put much pressure on my knee any more. I did find a solution though, but I'd hate to know how much it'd cost: http://alfredbekker.com/portfolio-view/aut...or-manual-cars/

Damn, you beat me to it. I was going to say the only solution is a clutchless manual so you can't bitch about a torque converter, but in your price range that's an MRS. Also, multiple cars so you don't have to worry about the faults of one.

That or some kind of Audi DSG. Thing is though if the clutch is light enough it doesn't seem to pose an issue. The Miata is the only car that never gave me problems, seems like I have no problems with my brother's A4 and it's a little bit heavier than what the Miata was. At the moment I'm thinking a NB2 Miata with a later SC400 would make an ideal pair.

SC400 for daily and the Miata when you want to hurt your knee.

It shouldn't hurt the knee, at least until this **** gets worse yet again. More like SC400 for when I don't want to be beat to death.

7th gen with 18" TRD wheels - $1,000 - Chicago
Even if you had to pay to have all four wheels refinished, it would still be worth the other extra parts you could get out of it. https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/cto/d/ce...6354639818.html -------------------- 2000 GT-S 6 SPD... SOLD! |

Something seems, suspicious... "Valued at 4x, need gone now." Mhmm... Doesn't help it's in Chicago either.
I have been bouncing back and forth between 7th gen Celica GT-S, DC2 Integra, and NB2 Miata. Guess a combination of ride quality and clutch weight being the biggest factors. I know the Miata and Integra have really light clutches, and the Celica should. Though mine in the ST was just as heavy if not heavier than the Firebird, though I guess some idiot could've put some stupid stage III clutch in for no reason. No an automatic as an only car isn't an option, I've thought about it extensively and at that rate I'll just stop caring about cars entirely. I rather get to 60 in 10 seconds with a manual than get there in 5 with an auto, but maybe that's just me. Of course all the above are low-mid 7's to 60, so it's not that bad and about where an early SC400 would be so even more against going auto. Or if things would just work out for once and I could drive the Firebird again then it wouldn't matter. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

Drove the Firebird down the road and back, paid for it though. Left 11's in the driveway backing into the garage and my leg won't stop trembling. It's not fair...

I don't know why I didn't think to ask before, but Ferdi how is the clutch between the Miata and Celica? I know it won't be exactly the same, but the 6th gen ST and 7th gen both use a C series trans and same size clutch so I'd imagine it's fairly close. Even with talking to my brother about it he agrees the clutch on my ST was way too heavy for what it was.
I don't know... I'm going to continue with stretching, massaging, biking, and putting heat on my knee and see if it eventually gets to a point I'm ok to drive the Firebird, but if not I really don't have much choice in the matter... -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed
