i grew up in the 80s, from a conservative family. i dont like colorful tennis shoes.... to give you a hint

So got some major news!!!! I recently acquired a beautiful black liftback, 95k on the clock, leather interior, maintenance records, window stick and it is a 5sfte! So another boosted celica that has been added to my stable of vehicles! Did I mention is its 99.9% rust free? It was z-barred back when new, basically it would be equivalent to por15. Beyond excited. Once the weather warms a little and I detail it, I will have pics up. Finally found my unicorn of a perfect liftback. I guess after 12 of them I would finally find one.

Congrats! I know how important it is to find the exact combination you're wanting in a car and for it to be in well maintained shape. Part of why I don't want to sell the Firebird even though I can't drive it, it's exactly how I'd have ordered one and it's hard enough finding one with the 6-speed as it is much less everything else.

If I had more room in my fleet I would take the bird off your hands. That combination is hard to find, especially for one that doesn't have rust and one that isnt beat to all hell

Yep, I think in the three years I on and off searched for one there was maybe one other like it that came up for sale. Even ignoring colour and interior choices just finding a hardtop 6-speed is a pain, at least especially for the Firebird anyway. I did get some resistance bands to see if maybe that'll help things with my knee, but not holding my breath. The only other car(within price range) I think I'd remotely be ok with in lieu of it would be a SC300 5-speed, but that's provided the clutch in it isn't too heavy. A 2003 Special Edition Miata or a NB2 6-speed in Midnight Blue or Black Cherry are runner ups. I really need something that doesn't beat me up(though the NB2 rides surprisingly well, as does the Firebird), which is why I'm leaning towards the SC300 since it could be my luxobarge I like the looks of and having a manual would make me content with the N/A 2JZ.
