I couldn’t find anything about him on teh Google last time I looked, he didn’t get bant, and I doubt if he’d just abruptly stop showing up. Seems like even if he had a surgery, he’d have mentioned it in advance or if it was a surprise surgery, he’d have found time to get back online by now.

I'm still alive...though I guess in some ways you could say a part of me has died... Sorry for disappearing like that... I've just been struggling with internal demons; demons that've been bothering me for over half my life, demons that've led me to attempt suicide in the past. Things had gotten to that point again and it was either say **** what the world thinks, or attempt suicide. Ever since my cousin passed away unexpectedly last year it's something that's been bothering me more and more, and it already had been bothering me more and more within the last few years anyway that I tried to kill myself four years ago after I thought I lost the one person I could trust with it. After my cousin that was barely a year older than me passed it made me realize life is short and nothing is guaranteed, and do I really want to continue living miserably and possibly die never becoming who I want to be? So it was for this New Year's I decided that it'd been more than long enough overdue, and that my resolution was to be who I wanted to be by next New Year's. I have been making strides little by little and each step feeling better about myself for once, but eventually you reach a plateu that takes a big jump in commitment and time to traverse. It was around my disappearance that things hit a breaking point, lots and lots of talking... mostly with my mom and ladyfriend for now, though am currently seeking a specialized therapist on insurance... They're supportive though and have really been my saving grace, and honestly so long as they're ok with me then I couldn't give two ****s what anyone else thinks. The one time I actually make good on a New Year's resolution... I just couldn't think of anything else and I didn't figure anyone here would understand, and I've bothered everyone enough as it is. I meant to come back sooner, but I never could think of just the right things to say and I realized it'd almost been two months so I figured I should let everyone know even if no one wants me around anymore afterwards...

You're not bothering anyone around here, as far as I know. I'm not one to go on about personal problems in public much, but I think some of us have likely had similar enough issues in life to also commiserate.

I'm glad you're getting help. In the celica community alone, I've lost 4 friends in the last 6 years. Two were freak accidents and two were suicides. I hope to never add you to that list. As someone who has walked that line since middle school (I'm 34 now), I totally understand where you are coming from, and choose to walk hand-in-hand with my demons everyday.

You know; it's funny, the people that I've met from the forums, despite being "people from the internet" have turned out to be some of the closest friends I have now. They've helped pull me through some serious ****. That being said, I feel like you're an institution here. Obviously, people notice when you up and disappear. It may not count for much in the grand scheme of things, but let it be a lifeline in the darkness.

Yea I mean...why else would we all dive so head first into cars and other hobbies except to mute and ignore the soul crushing depression we all face? biggrin.gif Ignorance is bliss, can't be depressed if I'm too distracted! Ha ha....ha....

Box, pretty much you are the one that keeps this place alive dude. Obviously you disappear we all notice.

you need a celica period. Get rid of the firebox. find you a nice purple celica to go with your new hair style.

Thanks everyone, it really means a lot... Even though I have no control over who I am in this regard, it's still... something I'm learning not to be ashamed and embarrassed over. I'm just used to being the proverbial black sheep and finally fit in somewhere and I didn't want to do anything to ruin that. I'm the black sheep of the family, ESPECIALLY on my father's side, and always have been out in society. That was even with hiding things... I don't look forward to Thanksgiving with my father's side... Though if me being happy for once and not killing myself isn't a good enough reason for them and they can't accept it then **** them...

Funny you mention getting another Celica as my youngest brother is turning 16 this September, **** I'm getting old... Sadly he's not really all into cars, but I've been pushing the idea of a sixth or seventh gen Celica. Since they're overlooked and undervalued and it's easy enough to find a nice one for the kind of money he'll have to work with; that and they're efficient, reliable, inexpensive to maintain, stylish, usable as a car(liftback anyway), and probably one of the safer cars from the time. That and being FWD and lower power it's perfect for a new driver, but it offers driving fun elsewhere so maybe it'll get him more into cars.

Or blow them off, just because someone is family doesn't mean you're obligate or owe them if they don't give you any respect or kindness.

Yeah, I'm afraid that's how it might turn out... Oh well, like I said my mom and siblings are ok with me and that's all that really mattered anyway.

Anyhow I need to get around to dusting off the Firebird, literally as it's accumulated quite a bit in the basement, and charging the battery then attempting to drive it again. I'm just too obstinate to give up and get rid of it, finding the right buyer is paramount. Like the one that looked at it and had the cash in hand, was some kid that just totaled a Miata because of his inexperience. The last thing he needs is a car with over twice the horsepower and nearly three times the torque... I'm just worried about who would buy it since I want the car to be treated well as it has been by myself and the two former owners. Yeah it's just a mass produced 90's GM car, but looking at the specifics it is special in a way. Finding a hardtop 6-speed car is almost impossible... I should know seeing how long I looked for one. I wish I had the money to do some kind of hand clutch conversion. I saw where Indy cars have a hand clutch, so maybe something like that would work.

Make a parabolic mirror out of aluminum tape and foam board, put car in sun with mirror focused at some cotton batting, badabing badaboom car fire without any evidence left, the mirror and cotton batting will both completely burn away.

Box if I actually sold my 94 3rd Gen 3sgte with e153, I would be adding that firebird to the collection. I just don't have time to install the clutch from southbend
