Got pulled over Friday night, you are always in the wrong place at the wrong time. Was able to take an online class so it doesn't affect insurance & driving record. But at least I can cross getting pulled over by a motorcycle cop off at the bucket list, lol.

After many months of complaining, I changed the brakes on the 4Runner. I think it was totally unnecessary though. They were fine... That's some good even wear! They the factory pads? Got pulled over Friday night, you are always in the wrong place at the wrong time. Was able to take an online class so it doesn't affect insurance & driving record. But at least I can cross getting pulled over by a motorcycle cop off at the bucket list, lol. That sucks... How much did you end up paying? I've always gotten warning when getting pulled over (usually getting out of it when I show them a nipple). -------------------- 2000 GT-S 6 SPD... SOLD! |

Those pads looked fine Daniel, still got a bit of life left in them. shouldn't let it go to waste.
and Devin, at least you weren't Asian while getting pulled over, that's never fun. I always get the DWA(Driving While Asian) but never once gotten a ticket. Played the whole Texas-Asian-Lost-in-The-Midwest (sounds like the title to a terrible B movie) role and he let me go with a warning and told me to enjoy the wedding. I'm sure he's never seen an Asian woman before too so he may have mistaken you for one at the time.

That could've been it, too. Doesn't help that I was in a Chevy Sonic at the time, too, and not a Corolla.

The online class was $107 the ticket was $125 for a 51 in a 35. Although it's not an excuse, I was trying to pass someone.
The cop was fairly decent & not a dick head. Oh well, everything is done and over with. Maybe if I would have **** my pants while he was talking to me, he might of let me go. Hmmm... I'll try that next time. |

Maybe it's just me being brown, but I ALWAYS get super nervous when I see the cherries light up behind me....
Come to think of it, the only time that didn't happen was when I pulled over at the Midwest Meet. I was too angry to be nervous at that time. -------------------- ~bloodMoney

I've only been pulled over and been ticketed once, and it was because my brother let the tag expire on the Durango I was borrowing... Otherwise since I drive like an old lady I've never given them a reason to pull me over.
In other news my brother put on a "race only" cat-back on his Kawasaki ZX-6R and it's loud as ****, like can't hear yourself talk at normal levels while next to it idling. Then on the test drive up and down the road I could CLEARLY hear everything he was doing the entire time as the exhaust blared through the area. At least it sounds glorious, and I guess installing a new horn won't be needed at that rate. Oh yeah, can't remember if I told everyone about that or not since he got it during the time I was gone. He traded the R3 for the ZX-6R since he decided the R3 wasn't nearly enough... *sigh* -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed

He rode the ZX-6R today and I could hear him 3-4 minutes before he got here, and I was inside... It has to be all of 120 db or so in the upper rpm range, he's going to go deaf even with using ear plugs.

Not braggin, but I'm braggin. Cut the nut off the stud without damaging the stud, just for fun. Get the nut hot really fast then hit it with high psi oxygen and you can take the nut off before the stud gets hot enough for the oxygen to burn it, can't burn cold steel. -------------------- |

That’s pretty well exactly what happened. We had just left the shelter and Chris left a stop light aggressively in Ottawa, I think? Certainly wasn’t worth getting pulled over for.

I saw a Renaissance Red '94-95 Celica, thought it was mine at first but it wasn't. ♩somebody misses their celica ♩ I do actually, I got excited at first but upon getting closer I realized it wasn't mine. Hopefully the kid I sold it to still has it, last I saw he did. It was a really good car, and really my first car I spent more time driving than being broken down. Even though it was on the brink of too slow and was wrong wheel drive, I really did love it and I'd drive it all the time for no reason just to get my mind off things. That and it was part of one of the best nights of my life. I was hoping my youngest brother would want one, but oh well. If I had a need for a FWD car I'd get another, but being I live in the land of no snow and RWD makes for a perfectly viable year round daily it falls onto the back burner along with a host of other great FWD cars. Currently I'm hoping I'll be able to drive the Firebird again soon since I REALLY don't want to get rid of it, despite its various shortcomings. Though I doubt it since my left leg still wants to be numb all the time. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed
