On a positive note after spending 9 days at the beach as girl Casey in a swim skirt and not getting weird looks I have more confidence, that and when I went out for dinner I was addressed as "miss". Looking like my grandmother and mom is finally paying off apparently. laugh.gif I still hate my body since to me it's a giveaway, but I guess everyone looks at my hair and face and goes off that. That and I have really pretty hands according to everyone, my cousin even said I should be a hand model:

My dreams of being a Taco Bell hand model were destroyed after they revamped their site. frown.gif

I've been trying to learn how to walk again. For one to be more graceful, but hopefully maybe it'll also help the deal with my leg. Being knock kneed my feet naturally want to go out at a 45º so that's how I naturally want to walk, though I still always rolled my feet heel to toe so at least I had that going. It hurts for me to turn them all the way in straight to walk, but I have been trying to walk with them closer to 10º out. I can "walk" with them turned all the way in, but it looks like I'm failing a sobriety test since I stumble and trip over myself. So been wanting to get that down first before trying to drive the Firebird again, to see if it'd be enough to help and maybe by some chance that'll stop whatever nerve is getting pressure on it that keeps me from being able to control my leg.

So in addition to that I've been thinking about what to do should it not, being the Firebird has more or less been sitting for over a year now... Doesn't do me any good to have a car I can't drive, even if it's the car that's the best overall choice for me given my budget. Trying to think of what else I'd want that I could drive and really there's nothing, so meh. Seriously considering just letting my license expire and not renewing it at the end of the year...

That was like a year ago now, and just no... Anyway was going to try and recharge the battery and get it started today, see if relearning to walk has helped any. If I sell it will probably just use the money for more important things like laser hair removal, who needs a car anyway.

Leg braces might help, they helped my cousin but he was a kid/teen at the time, may be too late for that. Just break your legs and have them fix them then

Have tried knee braces, but it's a matter of pressure being put on a nerve somewhere. I think relearning to walk has helped somewhat, but won't know as far as the car goes until I try.

His were on his calves/ankles to rotate that area straighter, he walked with his feet pointed right out past 45 degrees dragging his heels otherwise.

Ahh ok, got ya. I can make myself turn them in, just never had since them being splayed out was what came natural and never had problems outside of being unable to really run worth a damn.

Which after focusing on it seems like am walking with them more straight without thinking about it now.

Seems like if I'm loaded up on enough neurontin and dextromethorphan I can possibly drive the Firebird again without my leg doing that fluttering nonsense, that or walking straighter has helped something. Either way, charged the battery that was dead and of course the alarm went off but somehow it still remembered the key fob so that was nice. That and spose will have someone drive me to the petrol station so I can get a few gallons of 93 to put into it, then check the tire pressure though they don't seem like they're low surprisingly.

So been thinking, a lot, about what to do should I just not be able to drive it at this point. We all know I'm mental when it comes to cars, and that I'm very... peculiar... when it comes to the kind of car I like and want to own. So there ends up being a superficial checklist in order for me to like a car enough to commit to it and spend money on it. That and once I do I get terribly attached, borderline psychotic with them. IF I CAN'T HAVE THEM NOBODY CAN! Anyway... I want something manual first and foremost, I want something rear wheel drive, I want something with a standard or commonly optioned factory LSD, and I want something where I like... no LOVE... the engine. That and it still needs to be comfortable enough for my fibro. Oh and of course my poor self has to be able to afford it, champagne tastes and beer budgets am I right? Well and I have to be able to handle the clutch, otherwise it gathers a year's worth of dust in the garage. Pretty much the only car that meets all of those criteria is a RX-8, for better or worse. Not very many other cars of notable mention, maybe an IS300 but I don't foresee myself falling in love with a non-turbo 2JZ and same goes with any other six or four cylinder really that's not turbocharged. All the V8 cars have heavier clutches or are too expensive, then forget about anything over eight cylinders. So that really leaves rotary engines, the sound and character appeal to me. I think it's something I can fall in love with, provided it's not blowing more seals than *insert crude NSFW metaphor here*. Plus the car itself is supposed to be a delight to drive with the relatively low weight and superb balance. So I need to be able to drive the Firebird to save me from myself getting a RX-8.

ANNNNDDD The RX-8 comes in this beautiful teal colour!

So there's that too, in addition to 9,000 rpm fun.
