Repeat from Newcelica.
I can cook if I have to. I'll even grab a pack of fire wood at the gas station and we can all cuddle by the fire places.

Look at it this way, we'll have run of the place if it's a chilly day.

Also, I'm banning myself from any future meet planning. If we all go somewhere good for dinner we can redeem this meet. Giordanos in Minooka sounds good to me or the place I always suggest in Wilmington called Hayden's Crossing.

QUOTE (Bitter from Newcelica)
Exactly. Myself, Lindsay, and Ryan (my guest) will be there as well for sure. Just had a conversation with Lindsay. I'm brining a propane grill as back up. He's bringing charcoal. I'm going to grab on my way some hot dog buns and things to put in them and whatever else looks good for side items or some cookies or whatever. He's going to bring burger buns and burgers, condiments. We're both bringing some Capri Sun because 'we're 5 or something'.

If you want something else not on the short list above, bring it and we can cook it. We're guys, it's fire, we can cook damn near anything.

I do plan on grabbing a single pack of firewood still so we can have a fire in one of the fire places again, we did that at a prior cold meet and it was nice. Because of emerald ash borer I have to get wood local to where we're at so I'll be running up to town to grab some and can get whatever gas station items we're missing or just take orders for Jimmy Jons

I'm going. Z2's will be safe to drive conservatively as long as there's no actual ice or snow on the roads and temps are in the 30's at least. I've driven them dry at below zero temps, after about 5 miles the carcass warms to about 40F and they're OK.

We drive the Celica all year around so I'm not worried about safety I'm worried about how long are we going to want to stand outside when it's only supposed to be 44 at noon with rain/flurries..

And a squirrel.
I was coming up over the crest of a hill out of a steep river valley on some tiny little 1 lane road going about 30 when I saw a small deer, I slammed my brakes and swerved out of the way, there was a second deer that then ran in front but I was moving about 15mph at that point and it almost made it across...
QUOTE (Bitter)
LOL, just nudged him with the corner of the car, zero damage on the little fellow. Pretty sure the squirrel was killed, as Ryan's BRZ passed over it as well. I heard it sliding under the under plastics which I don't think you realize just how LOW those are to the ground.

So there's a little deer today with a little bruise and I have a very pretty Celica.

You missed a good meet everyone, despite the cold. We had sassage, burgers, wings, chips, salsa, cum covered donuts, RC cola, Capri Sun, and I'm sure I'm missing some things. No hike, wandered around the Lodge and Visitor Center area a little, I narrated about the majestic and graceful Canada Goose, etc.

Jordan just clipped the deer he said on nc. He said the deer and his car were just fine, but destroyed a squirrel haha!!

So the meet went very well! The turnout was basically just 7th gen guys, but was very fun and had a great time! When we got there we all searched for the driest dead wood we could find. After we broke all the wood by hand and I used my small Leatherman multi tool saw blade, Mr. BRZ decided to bring out his hatchet. Haha!

It warmed up after a while and then eventually in the end the sun came out! It rained for me all the way coming down, but just drizzle when we got there. We got to see Jordan's friend's BRZ, my new thug mobile, and Sean's new WRX.

Racecarp showed up! And he showed up with very dirty wheels (picture below) lol. Old man had the charcoal going outside and the wind was so bad off the river that the full grill of coals quickly turned into a pile of dust the size of my fist. Since he couldn't cook without heat, we moved his grill grate to the very warm and cozy fireplace! I think we should cook with hardwood every time in the fireplace from now on, it worked very well!

Then after all that we took a drive up to the lodge. We walked to the river and Mr. Homeless Man (Jordan) got asked some park related question from strangers haha! Dalton was lucky enough to walk in dog **** while at the shelter so he had to wash that off so the foot well heat didn't blow **** air through his car on his three hour drive.

Here's some pictures, sorry this is all I got really...
