My air conditioner compressor broke. I have a 7AFE engine. Can I fit a compressor from a different car like Carina or Corolla?

Does year matter at all? 94 was the year things switched from R12 to R134A.

well, my 94 has 134a. I was guessing all 6gens do. but I guess you should pay attention to that if you go digging through a scrap yard for one, that would mean anything older than 1994 is R12.
which, technically, would work, but then you have to get adapter fittings and schtuff. the tag on the radiator/firewall/hood somewhere should specify whether it is R12 or R134a. -------------------- Bust a Deal; Face the Wheel.
