Installed a modified civic short ram intake on an ST but i noticed a sensor on the stock intake. There is no place to fit on the new intake. What should i do? I was told to stick a resistor in the plugs. Will this take care of the problen??

drill a hole and stick the grommet from the stock intake box in the hole and push in the temp sensor.

Yup. And like 97sccelica said, its not a mass airflow sensor, its and intake temperature sensor.

its a hack mod,
its best for the ecu to kow the temp of the air going into the engine. get the sensor back in, but for now, your ok -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition

Yeah, definitely drop the resistor. I doubt it will on a 7a because of the way the ecu works, but it very well could do damage to your engine.

Um...... dude thats not good. I believe that all cars have those. Check to see if there are any loose hoses or wire connectors that are just hanging around. If not then wtf? lol anyways you might want to look all around for that. |

thanks guys, i have drilled the hole and replaced the sensor, if i knew a corolla intake would fit i woudl have used that, but at the time I didnt, damn, anyway, the intake still works well, so no problems, just had to put a little more manpower into it.
