I was cruising the mr2 forums today and a guy was having tranny problems. He took it to his mechanic and they said some of his gear were rusty. Some one on the thread suggested that it was because he left his car sitting to long during the winter and the exposed tranny parts rusted as a result. It makes sense but my thought is, the tranny is sealed, so is there any real threat of water getting in to do damage? If so I think Ill take a trip to my uncles this weekend and drive my car around the block, its an excuse to get it out

yea somthing really wrong must have happened with that tranny... cause a normal on would not rust ... with the oil and it being seald and the gears being coated and made with no rust metals...
