I've got a '95 ST205 and the bearings on my intercooler pump that are making a lot of noise and I'm looking to replace them. While I'm at it I'll be replacing the spark plugs too. I've done a good bit of reading into the replacement coolant to get and most places say to get Toyota "ForLife". I've called a lot of dealerships here and no one can track down the "ForLife" coolant, but they all have said that they have "LongLife" which is another red coolant. I'm wondering if this is the same thing just named differently because I'm up in Canada or if the "ForLife" coolant is actually different.
If anyone knows the part number for the "ForLife" coolant, or if anyone has had any success using the "LongLife" coolant in an ST205 I'd really appreciate the feedback. Thanks. |

Haven't heard of it before. Just checked the manual & that just states to use a 'good brand' of Ethylene glycol base coolant & mix it accordingly.

just make sure u get thr re stuff full anti freeze 1 bottle, and the rest disteled water.
dont use the toyota 50 50 pre mix stuff on 3sgtes, especially if u live in an area where it gets cold. im sure it will be fine but i prefer the full anti freeze. most people that uses 50/50 end up needing to add more or top it off and then screw up the pre mix. anyways take care of it. awesome car!!! |
