So I'm at the track right now. I did a burn out from 1 to 2 gear. Then I launched in 1st gear at about 2.5-3k rpm. And it popped out of 1st!!! What does that mean?? Please help

most likely means it's time to take the transmission apart.

Check the motor and trans mounts.

I thought this was always a clutch related issue, not the mounts..I could be wrong but I recall reading about similar issues on here. Perhaps a search will help come up with answers

I agree with checking the mounts. If the engine is rocking hard enough during a launch the shift cables might be affected. Or the synchro is severely worn, but if that the case then you would have shifting problems in general
