Does anyone have any ideas what the fastest engine I can find to put into my 95 GT? Looking to build it (turbo, pistons.....etc) then drop it in. Any thoughts or ideas?
Thanks Jason |

he's saying that you need to do some of your own research. use the search function, there are so many topics about this that it's not even funny. besides, you could do your own research, and go outside of the norm. it's just not a question that has a definate answer, it's all relative to the person responding, sooooo, read those books, search the forums. that's why we have this board. the search function will answer your question in more ways than a single topic could ever dream of. . -John- -------------------- |

not being jackasses. just telling him to do some research. you don't have to put the 3sgte in it. hell, i saw a 4th gen celica last night w/ a 7mgte. and like i said, it's all relative. you say the fastest is the 3sgte...but why not stick a 6cyl camry motor in there and twin-charge it? . it's been done in an MR2. think outside the box. -John- -------------------- |

LOL, no comment!
I don't necessarily agree. Like John said there are lots of other options. If you want the easiest (if you can call any of them easy) swap, thats it. Its the most done, and most researched of any of them. |

like that really helps him. look into a turbo 5sfe, 3sge, 3sgte, and hybrids... you will get very biased answers if you just ask on messageboards. -------------------- Believer, you'll leave her, in leaving them all No but I don't buy it Like anything you do, as anyone you are Cause I'm... you can put almose any eninge in any car.. so the answer just depends what you want and how much work time and money your will to put into it. you can do anything from a 5sfte to a Ford V8 into a celi.. just read up and i mean really read up.. and don't belive or disbelive everything you read..

just note that things such as converting to RWD/AWD is very difficult, very expensive and also makes your car not street legal anymore... also before asking if you can do a 2jz swap, check the pinned thread in the performance forum.

You know research is what this man is doing. I don't know much about engines but when I have a question I ask people on this site to point me in the right direction. Research is what this site is for.

This site shouldn't be where the research begins, it should be where you go when you have specific question, or a question you can't answer anywhere else. Its really obvious that this is the first time this guy has even tried to find anything out, and thats fine, everybody has to start some where. But at least try to find the information on your own before you start asking questions. Also, the format of the question will not lend itself to any kind of constructive answers. It is WAAAY too general. |

The 3S-GTE option is the easiest i believe. Your car will find it difficult to handle the power of the 3S-GTE so you do not need to look any further.(You see the engine is built to race an awd car with 600-700 pounds of more weight)
the 3S-GTE is a drop-in and i know plenty of people who have done it in my country. BUT, research a lot before you make your move. Don't be an idiot like me. I bought a spare 3S-GTE engine from Japan to put in my lift back only to find out that the engine did not include the GT4 computer and did not came with the Turbo and the Intercooler. So the engine lies there in my basement and I bought a JDM GT4 from Japan. If only i knew then what i know now after being a member of this forum for 6 months. I would save thousands of $$$$. |
