Where is the ecu located on the 7afe and my question is that i have the newer version of 7afe would i be able to put the older version of the 7afe ecu on it becuase my friend has the old version and his revs up to 7rpm and mine only to 6rpm?

The ECU is in the center of the dash, close to the firewall, between the two foot wells. You can pull down the carpet to access it. The 94-95 cars were OBDI and 96-99 were OBDII in the US, so it won't work. There is no power to be gained by swapping a stock ECU and another stock ECU. These cars were built and tuned for low end response and economy.
