Has anyone done a rear mount turbo on any of our 6gc? I'm looking into having a rear mount turbo done instead of a v6 swap since the rear mount turbo will still pass CALI SMOG inspections.

I haven't done any heavy research on it but it's similar to the porsche^ where the turbo is not at the manifold but more like after the down pipe "hidden" away to pass visual inspections.

Here's a couple videos.

The lag!

Would finding an OBDI car to build up not be an option?

Can you get away with making it turbo if it's an ODB1? Just in case at some point in the future, I may have to move to Kalifornistan for a job.

if the car wasnt factory turbo and/or it does not have a CARB stamp, then any turbo kit is illegal in Kaliforniastan. PERIOD!
