First pic is worthless factory strut bar
Second factory air box 4 is the diagnostic box 5sgould be an ignitor box. Does the car run? 10 I believe is a mounting point for the abs box if it can equipped The ones I didn't respond to I'm not entirely sure although there are a lot of blanks under the hood for factory options that you car may not have had -------------------- 97 Celica GT liftback DD/ project

Pic Three is generally where one of the ground wires is mounted(one from head and one from tranny come together and mount on shock tower), there are "extra" holes there, so they are not all used. Unless like me one of them snapped off in the hole and you can use the other one. It is advisable for the sake of your ECU that you have all grounds hooked up. there should be another one going from another bolt on the transmission to the nose by the battery (bolt above the center one circled in pic 9), one from the passenger side of the head to the other shock tower, and one from the intake manifold to the firewall.
. Number 4 is just sort of a bracket that clips onto and supports the wire harness at this point running to the diag box and igniter, so is number 11 just sort of a clip that held the wire harness at that point. The holes on 6, 8 and 9 are empty anyway. number 12 there isn't anything there in the first place. Granted mine is a 5sfe but it's similar. like number 4 ![]() igniter like number 5 ![]() shock tower ground like number 3 ![]() battery ground (lol mine is held in with 36" zip ties) ![]() This post has been edited by VavAlephVav: Nov 30, 2014 - 10:20 PM -------------------- Bust a Deal; Face the Wheel.

Your reply: First pic is worthless factory strut bar My response: Thank you! im amazed these came with a factory strut bar. Your reply: 4 is the diagnostic box My response: Hmm strange, are you sure? cause i have my diagnostic box over behind the strut tower not on the side. Please elaborate. Your reply: 5sgould be an ignitor box. Does the car run? My response: Interesting, ill look this up now that i know what should go there. but Yes the car runs great! however under 1,000 rpm the car has a idle fluctuation issue (fluctuates about 100+-). Not sure what is causing that. Your reply: 10 I believe is a mounting point for the abs box if it can equipped My response: Yeah i dont have ABS so makes sense that this is blank. Thank you! Just a few more that i need help on. :-) ...progress! |

if the car runs you must have one, maybe it's just moved and mounted somewhere else

Just checked that's where the diagnostic box is on a different car I have. My bad That holds a plastic wire channel box that helps hold the harness thatggoes to the diagnostic box in place
