I know Kurt has driven his, and Smaay has driven his, and there are others, I'm getting ready to build my first V6 swapped 6gc.

The shell that I'm going to be building also needs a new radiator, it went with a quick flip I sold this summer. So I am considering ordering up an Aluminum replacement, and having them put the inlet and outlet in the positions that would match my replacement motors locations, so I could use OEM replacement hoses, making it really easy to pick up when replacements are needed.

I've also found that the 1994 Mazda Miata 1.8 seems to be a near copy of the 6gc radiator, with the exception that the inlet is on the passenger side, and the outlet is on the drivers side. Inlet size is still the 1.25 though. Miata Radiator it even looks like the fans are mounted in the same.

Did you guys end up running with your stock radiators, and the hose cobos in your build threads, or have you since upgraded?

with the 2gr, im using the aluminum koyo radiator. however, fans will be an issue. dont know if the 1mz will be the same

the stock ST radiator allows you to use the stock ST hose and the hose i posted on the last build thread. its very clean and parts available

I'm running a Megan racing dual core aluminum radiator with dual slim line fans.
I've been looking for an aluminum version of the st radiator tho.
nother because I need an aluminum one. Just like the looks of it.

So, as always Thanks!!

I hadn't realized the ST radiator was different from the GT until reading your comments,. Even though I have both models, the 95 ST has just been sitting there waiting to be upgraded to a GT and swapped to the V6,. since I gutted the donor GT it's getting everything,. so it's becoming a 99 GT

So now that I know,.

I will keep the ST radiator for the swap, and the throttle cable. I guess the Aluminum radiator will be a down the road purchase then.

However, this leaves me with a different problem, the GT radiator I have from the donor is covered with motor oil from the motor blow out. Do, does anyone have a good recommendation for cleaning this thing,. I was thinking of soaking it overnight in a degreaser, flipping then rinsing and installing. I don't want to hit it with a power washer.

DO NOT hit it with any pressure water. just pour some dawn dish soap over it and in a bucket and wipe it down, just rinse with flowing water. the dawn will clean out the oil quickly

Not going to pressure wash it,. just was wondering if anyone knew a good solution other than simple green to soak it in, thinking I've got a rubbermaid tub that it will fit in, then I can let it soak for a day or two to break everything loose and rinse it from the back side with very, very, low pressure or cups of water poured over it,.

yeah that will work fine, you can run the hose over it, thats ok. just let it flow
