short shifter is a shortened rod with the ball at a higher point so that shifts seem to be closer
TRD quickshifter replaces most of the shifter box... i've heard there are huge differences between the 2 when you actually compare them i'm a firm believer in getting good with your stock shifter..... i can still shift faster with my stock height one (and in my car it's like a mile each direction) that most of my friends who have short/quick shifters |

In case you're wondering, the TRD Quickshifter is in fact a true short shifter. TRD just labels it as a Quickshifter. I've never driven a car with the TWM short shifter, but my car has the TRD Quickshifter and it's great. I can notice a huge difference when I drive my car and then drive someone else's with the stock shifter.

agreed. invest 170 bux and go with the shortshifter. 30 minute install and boom, u find yourself going faster quicker with much more precise shifts. only problem i had was when racing at first, because my hand moved a lot quicker then my foot did |
