 broke my ebrake cable :/ |

Broke my ebrake line, will explain after. Its hanging from in front of the rear driver side wheel. Kinda looks like the end of a throttle cable, but thicker. Sure something broke, maybe just popped out of place? Cant/wont check it out til I have off work. Any advice or thoughts?
--> So im riding through camden new jersey. My car is dangerously low, more dangerous than the city of camden. Drive over this big metal plate that is sticking out of the road, maybe 3 inches high and 4 feet wide. Couldnt avoid it, traffic in incoming lane and im going 40mph. Something snaps and I hear a bunch of noise. Pull up to the next red light, pull up the ebrake to park the car soo I can take a quick peek. Ebrake had no tension at all, easily came up. Look under and see my e brake line hanging from in front of driver side rear wheel. Also my ebrake doesnt work AT ALL, thats a given. The line seems to have snapped clean, maybe even popped out of place? I kept it FWD. Went to take a crack at doing the wiring conversion. Than, I realize, shoot, this is out of my league. |
