Options:

a) is this mean if I do not organize it no one else here can?
b) people here do not want such a thing like calendar anymore?
c) I have just missed FS topic here (since I really do not visit 6gc.net much this year)?

folks. please. bring some light into it for me.

As far as I am aware no one made one...
I looked into calendars last year for another celica group and it would cost $30 before shipping just to PRINT a calendar in Australia and to me that's ludicrous.

http://www.vistaprint.com/lpt/wc-one-resp-...57790&GNF=0

Currently they're marked down to $7.99 each through them. Would help with putting one together quickly. That and there are a few other sites that do the same kind of thing, but at least I've heard of Vistaprint.

http://www.vistaprint.com/product-presenta...sentationId=699

Ok, so it adds another $1.50 for premium glossy but the more you buy the less they are.

Here's two more I came across:

http://www.custombuiltcalendars.com/custom...CFSMA7Aod2GAANg

http://www.overnightprints.com/calendars?c...CFZJZ7AodsTIAog

Maybe one of these places will offer enough customization to be satisfactory and allow a calendar to be made in time.

I had mentioned possibly taking the torch on this one but then some life happened haha

I had lightly looked around for some printing companies but I didnt see the option for custom designing both the date page and the image page on any of the sites. That to me was a big must have, especially how well the last couple calendars have gone using that method.

Id like to use the site Malpaso used but I dont think that was a US company.

We had also briefly discussed some alternatives to a Calendar. I dont remember if we came up with any.

Maybe some 6GC posters/collage posters?

Posters would be cool. On my laptop my wallpaper shuffles through several pics of celicas (malpaso's is one of them) I have it hooked up to my wall mounted TV. Love walking in my room and seeing celicas on my wall

A collage poster would be better I think. Let's be honest here, who in this day and age actually uses a physical calendar anymore? A poster is something you can keep up for an eternity and it'll be relevant. Then it'll have to figured out how big to make it, and how many cars etc... I think a yearly COTM poster would be nifty, or have one where you can submit and vote on the cars to be used.

Well, obviously people bought the calendar but who actually used it instead of their phone or computer? Is what I meant.

I have to agree with this actually. I bought the calendar last year and I love it, but I only wrote in it once I think. Poster would be neat.

I used my calender more for the date than anything.
It was small to write in, and I usually just used it in my office to glance over to figure out the date, and when other things need to be done/how much time I had to do them.

Plus it was cool to see my car in a calender laugh.gif

yup, same for me. although I do occasionally write on it.

I would be up for the poster idea too.

thinking of the poster collage idea...myself being a stickler for quality, mashing a bunch of photos with opposing compositions and styles would look like crap (i think..i havent really thought into it 100%)

shots like these below would be great and poster worthy, but then orchestrating such a gathering is a little hard since nobody is really near eachother.
any thoughts or suggestions?

something like this may be attainable if lighting is generally the same for everyone throwing in a picture

I was thinking about the collage too, and how to make it professional in appearance. A gathering is obviously one solution, another would be to have a theme for the pictures to be used. Or could do a "scrap book" look with pictures slightly overlapping one another in varying degrees of rotation. That or fading them into each other could be cool. The group photo might be the best solution, maybe a photo for each region and playing on that kind of theme for the poster. There's a million and one ways to go about it I suppose. tongue.gif

I used local company for printing. Just designed everything and posted 25 pages of "something" to print. No big deal. I need calendar only to have instant view on dates during a month to be able to plan work or meetings in a second. When with sheet is shown also something I like even better... I never write on it.

To print one calendar for my self is question of $25-30. Or I can buy some universal "sports car" one in local store for $8. So only what I wanted is to know if I can get something here what meets my needs for $20 max... wink.gif
